Thank you for providing the opportunity to view the Classic Grand Prix coverage this year.

For me it has been great to be able to see highlights of the older races (which were fascinating), and I hope that in future that you continue to show this feature as it's just brilliant. This is something that other broadcasters should have picked up on and I am glad BBC made the effort!
Pick your classic Brazilian Grand Prix 08:43am on 08 Oct 2009 I want to see a proper old race - so 1982 for me - sounds awesome.

I guess after that the 1989 race because I love that period of F1.

1993 and 1994 were not that good in terms of spectacle and 2008 is still new (and I would wager, most people will still have a copy like me!)

Where is 2003? That race was crazy and full of action - you should have linked to that as well. I would have picked it if it were offered!

I would like to see 76 and 89 again - I remember 1994 as not brilliant and a bit weird because Schumi won on the track but not the race because of the aggregate. As 2000 amd 2005 are only available in short highlights then they get put to the back of the grid ;)

OK, I have seen Dijon 79 to death, so I would say:

(1) Austria 82 - sounds like a good race
(2) Dallas 84 - Because I have never seen the track before
(3) Mexico 90 - also sounds good
(4) Dijon 79 - because only the last 3 laps are worth seeing and we've all seen them before...

What figures are you using for fuel consumption? Myself and other bloggers like to calculate fuel-corrected times to and it's very difficult to get accurate figures. On my blog post (http://f1numbers.wordpress.com/2009/09/12/qualifying-analysis-italy/) I used a figure from the F1 yearbook of 2.7kg per lap, which puts Barrichello on pole and Kovalainen second.

When I saw your post, I asked around on the internet and someone pointed out that Renault use a figure of 2.53kg/lap, but that still puts Barrichello on pole.

I think the discrepancy is such because the margins are so tight around here, but what figures did you use to calculate this, and how do you make sure they are accurate?
Pick your classic Italian Grand Prix 09:11am on 05 Sep 2009 For me, I would really like to see 1988 as I was too young to remember that race. Forget 2004 - that was a lost year in F1 for me, so boring to see Ferrari dominate like that!

None of the other races really excite me that much either - 99 is noteworthy that Hakkinen showed his human side, but otherwise ordinary. 95 and 90 I don't remember well, so it has to be 88!
Pick your classic Belgian Grand Prix 07:58am on 21 Aug 2009 It has to be 1998 - The race where so much happened and the result was completely random!

Also, there are so many clips of this race on YouTube so there must be a lot of people who want to see it!
Your classic European Grand Prix 5:52pm on 19 Aug 2009 I completely agree that the 1993 GP is the pick of the bunch. I was there as an 11-year old standing at the Craner Curves, new to Formula 1, and Senna's display of dominance in a rubbish car made a huge impression on me and cemented my love for the sport.

Sure, the other GP's may be more exciting, but nothing beats the masterclass Senna showed us all that day and Prost was made to look foolish by comparison. It was possibly the best F1 race ever!
