Aussie captaincy enters transition phase 02:06am on 09 Sep 2009 hello guys everyone say that ponting had some great players in his era so he has won won so many trophies and test series' but do anyone think that managing so many great players like pigeon,haydos, warnie,langer..etc is a sternous task than managing a new bunch of guys who l be very easy to work with. And punter should be given some more time to show that he is a capable captain. It is shear bad luck that he lost 2 consecutive high pressure ashes series' 'cause if he is not a good captain he couldnt have won so many cricket matches in his tenure as captain. So stop critisizing him. Clarke can also be very effective in his first few matches but if he loses a couple of games then the people who praise him for his shrewd captaincy will be on his back.
Dogged Manou finally rewarded 7:12pm on 31 Jul 2009 Odicean ...Why talk about Ray Illingworth here? Is he not a spirited cricketer? Well you should not be in the position of an international team captain when you want to win a match with the opposition team having an injured member even before the match started.....so strauss' decision is a spirited one ....defeat a full strength opposition with playing a fair game......
Misfiring Australia consider their options 4:22pm on 23 Jul 2009 there are a lot of selection dilemas for both sides... but for England as this is the last test series for Freddie he will surely play irrespective of his fitness. he will be passed fit even though he is not!! KP is out so bell should come in if they select people on current form and not previous series' statistics. drop broad and bring in Harmy he might do well in this series. the English team should be

Bopara in need of an Ashes score 4:50pm on 22 Jul 2009 Well, people are living with bopara's 3 centuries against a weakened westindies side. we cant a name a consistent bowler in the windies team with taylor and edwards being inconsistent in their line and length all the time and now ravi is facing an aussie side who are more classy tthen the windies bowling line up. if he cant score against this aussie line up who are not in the same league as a mcgrath or shane warne then he doesnt deserve a place in the england side
75 years of hurt are ended 10:03pm on 20 Jul 2009 its the kinda ashes series that people would like to see. we dont like to see a team win 5-0 in a prestigious series like this the series should be decided in the 5th and the final test so that test cricket will get a new life with its twists annd tales in the five days of energetic cricket. like to see a neck and neck series between england and aussies. itys been nearly 4 years that we ve seen the aussies being tested by england

Getting away with it 7:28pm on 13 Jul 2009 its good to see that the motive with which they ve shifted the first test from lords to cardiffis achieved its only to avoid defeat in the first test of an ashes test and that was achieved ...well done monty and jimmy to achieve what the hierarchy of english cricket wanted. And all laurels to the man of steel in this test match...colly...well done ..
