Will promised reform be delivered? 12:19pm on 17 Dec 2009 How do you manage to write this without even mentioning that Cameron has promised to rush a bill through parliament should the Tories win the general election?

I certainly can sense the strong feelings Nick has expressed being there with Cameron and the soldiers. Surely we all agree with the last sentiment - let's hope it works!
Spot the difference 5:14pm on 23 Nov 2009 Excellent point, Nick. What Brown and Cameron are saying is getting closer. But what they mean is far apart. I, for one, do not believe Brown would actually cut the deficit much at all whereas I think Cameron would have a serious go at it.

It won't be March 9:24pm on 11 Nov 2009 I don't think the Tories are worried about the timing of the general election. I think they are worried about what they will have to do to put things right after the election.

I shudder to think what Mr Brown will do in the final budget - it will surely be tactical to favour the Labour party (as they all have been) rather than strategic (in the interests of the country).
The real debate has scarcely begun 4:08pm on 10 Nov 2009 Excellent blog, Nick. Covered everything. Personally, I feel for Mr Brown as, despite his best efforts, he is not cut out to be PM in the modern age. Very few are.
