Suggest a story 07:20am on 18 Oct 2009 Just returned from the US again. Then also looked at my Sky bill. £25 per month to see programmes with 20 minutes per hour of adverts (am negotiating its removal in return for an allowance with my teenagers).

Please keep the licence fee intact.
Should politicians be forced to give yes/no answers? 07:12am on 18 Oct 2009 Isn't the real goal of an interview for the listener to get a feel for whether they trust the policiian in general? Only then is it worth asking the yes/no question "... so will we pull out of Iraq in 2010?"

Should politicians be forced to give yes/no answers? 07:05am on 18 Oct 2009 Just heard the podcast. It shows how hard it is to ask questions where a yes/no answer provides meaningful information.
Your ideas 08:34am on 10 Oct 2009 We run our house a little colder and darker than most of our children's friends (haven't turned the heating on yet!). One recently described our house as scary.

So the question is, am I mean or green? When does one cross to the other?

Should politicians be forced to give yes/no answers? 07:50am on 10 Oct 2009 Yes / No / Don't know answers would be great but it also demands discipline from the questioner. We hear rather of lot of questions only a nutter could answer yes or no. "Would you consider resignation if ..." "Have you stopped beating your wife?" etc. Our politicians have evolved, Darwinian style, to survive the firing-squad-cos-we-know-you're-guilty style so beloved of our confrontational interviewers.

Suggest a story 06:54am on 18 Jul 2009 Well I've done the swine flu week off. Finally backup up the PCs (4), conquered my new digital camera (why would anyone need 21 modes?), instructed a solicitor in a boundary dispute, held 9 work calls (surprisingly hard to think when you've got flu) and slept a lot. But managed not to pass it to the family or anyone else. Will celebrate with 9 holes of golf today.
Your News 06:16am on 18 Jul 2009 In the week that I was in quarantine with swine flu I had to miss my aunt's funeral and also learn that my best man of 30 years ago now has severe dementia. Lets hope these things do come in threes.
Your News 10:08am on 12 Jul 2009 Doctor told me to stay at home for 7 days after being diagnosed with swine flu. Trying to be positive but left alone while family went to son's football fiesta.
