Megachurch in succession turmoil 11:56pm on 15 Jun 2009 you are right, mckim has not slated mcconnell and vice versa and it would definitely be the best thing for all concerned if they could sort their differences out, preferably in private, but if one side was prepared for an open debate and the other was not you are correct that it would cast doubt on the other side. everyone is entitled to a "fair hearing" and if this mess cannot be sorted out in private then a fair public hearing could be necessary to prevent tarnishing the reputations and the years of ministries of both men
Megachurch in succession turmoil 11:43pm on 15 Jun 2009 again i agree with you sensibletruthteller he did read out his correspondence but alluding to Reuben's idea, if that wednesday we had both the pastors on that stage and we heard both version of events then this rift would never have occurred, an open and honest discussion between two men of god in front of the people who make up WW would have been the best solution for all involved in my opinion

Megachurch in succession turmoil 11:24pm on 15 Jun 2009 sensibletruth teller i said i ahev a background in law, and as of yet i have not been called to the bar, and do not claim to be such as you do, i very much doubt that you even are as some of what you are coming out with is complete nonsense-perhaps a chat tomorrow will enlighten you, with me being much younger than you and having a more up to date knowledge of the law!
Megachurch in succession turmoil 11:20pm on 15 Jun 2009 sensibletruthteller, lets draw a line under this, you came on and are expecting these good people to take your word for all of the points you claim are true and are challenging people who claim a different version of events to produce evidence to prove that what they say is correct.

it seems that you have exactly the same amount of evidence for your claims as anyone else does for theirs, lets not get carried away with throwing around legal words and definitions and just look at the facts, we all have as much evidence as each other for our viewpoints, the secrets could be unlocked in an open discussion with both parties but, seemingly as we are being denied one we can only speculate on what we "know" to be true.

it is certain that some know more than others, especially those who have been going to WW for some time and who have been privy to certain events that have occurred over time, it is also certain that in time the truth will be revealed-it always does no matter how well people think they cover it up and when that happens then everyone will be free to make up their own mind and judge as they see fit but until then the best effort we can have at achieving the truth is for people to share the information that they know and hope that it speeds up the process.

Megachurch in succession turmoil 10:44pm on 15 Jun 2009 sensibletruth teller we could continue this discussion all night about the ins and outs of civil law but here is not to place to do such a thing, i will be in the foyer of the Bar tomorrow at 4.30 and i will wait for 15 minutes, i will sit in one of the two priority seats, which have the side of the reception desk straight on in front of them and will look forward to a discussion, after all isnt law about listening to both sides of a problem and coming to the correct decision?much like what ruebens suggest is done in a public forum...
