The PM uses the 'C' word: 'Cuts' 9:51pm on 01 Jul 2009 To be honest I don't care who Nick R likes or dislikes. I don't like GB being allowed to get away with his lies. Watching PMQT (it only has one extra letter notice!) today I was amazed how ineffective he was but even more so at how the half hour is wasted by petty little side comments that have little to do with information and much more to do with time wasting. He wouldn't even answer a question from his own side about nationalisation of the railways. Dodge, dodge and dodge again. I am ashamed of our political correspondents who fail to get stuck in, but am totally exasperated with opposition leaders failing to hammer it home.
MPs' expenses: Your e-mails 5:02pm on 18 Jun 2009 When are these MPs going to get it that we are sick of their cover-ups and lies about what they did and did not claim for. We are sick of their bleating that they 'did nothing wrong'. We are sick of cover ups. This will not go away and I watch with incredulity as MP after MP is trotted out on the BBC in numerous programs and they don't get a tough time. They need to be made aware of our anger. Unfortunately the BBC panders to these clowns and seem to behave like part of a cosy partnership in ignoring the simmering rage that is going to boil over soon if they continue to treat us with contempt. Do your bloody job and tell them like it is.
Changes to international pages 11:49am on 13 Jun 2009 I am sorry folks, you will be very disappointed if you expect the BBC to listen to your objections. Like the politicians they patronise they have a deaf ear when it comes to Joe Public. This blog I suspect is hardly read by the blogee to gauge opinion and even if it is the back room boys will ignore it. You see they take our money and that is it.
Fewer votes for BNP 5:47pm on 08 Jun 2009 I have read many of the comments on this subject and there are so many good points that it would be pointless to repeat every one but I have to say that while watching the results come in I was struck again by the way in which the BBC and its trained puppies dealt with the issues. So many have pointed out that Nick has got it wrong but not just he. Some voters express their frustration by voting for a party that does not truly represent their views but they want to send a message. Others think that apathy and staying away expresses their options better. It really does not matter. Until politicians and commentators get it into their thick skulls that the public are sick to death of their posturising and downrigt lies that we will never become properly engaged in politics and elections. Neiliums made a comment earlier saying 'How pompous and condescending was that?'.

This is what we get as we watch the news, politicians and political commentators being pompous and condescending over and over again. Whether it be the further integration with Europe which we all know is NOT what the British Public want, but are being railroaded into or Identity cards, etc etc we are ignored as though our opinions don't matter.

These elections were about protest, the vast majority showing a contempt for politics and the political system by abandoning in droves the process or their traditional instincts.

I am disgusted with all the main parties for leaving me with no alternative. As for blaming it on expenses row, well that is excellently dealt with by Ca55andra who pointed out that 'but what I CAN tell you is it is nothing to do with MP's expenses, although that was something of a catalyst to get people thinking and actually voting.' I would have included 'or not voting' as well but generally we are sick of the lies, the lack of awareness amongst the political minnows who are running around today looking for spin and lies to get out of another hole. Well they won't.
Last chance 00:12am on 04 Jun 2009 This woman displays an extraordinary inability to not understand the problem. Even her reason 'the right thing for my family' could well have been reduced simply to 'the right thing'. However I am still awaiting for any of these 'we were simply obeying the rules' candidates to find their resignation without compensation is essential. No pensions, severance pay etc.
