Some of these people have obtained freezing injunctions and have frozen the current bank accounts of the developer. They could also freeze funds in the mentioned escrow account despite the allegations of the developer that such funds could not be object to freezing or foreclosure. Perhaps your interest will be well served if you check the current litigation status of the developer.
