Neil Young on the BBC 10:56pm on 27 Jun 2009 Mr Cooper, it might be useful if the license payer knew this information before the event. No use in making excuses afterwards, suppose we will see the same excuses rolled out tomorrow when the widely advertised Mr Springsteen gets shoved to some highly edited highlights...
Comments 10:53pm on 27 Jun 2009 Please put someone in charge who can deliver a clear program guide so that we (remember us the people that pay your wages as tax payers!) can understand that the headliners will not be shown on TV even if the adverts and publicity appeared to suggest otherwise. Another low for the BBC....
Comments 10:45pm on 27 Jun 2009 133, rubbish, I remember watching Radiohead and Coldplay playing headline sets in full and excellent they were too...What a shambles the BBC is, give it to another broadcaster like Sky who might do it justice. BBC are only interested in showing the same 3 or 4 acts on repeat loops..oh no not Lily again!
An Early Glimpse of the Boss 10:36pm on 27 Jun 2009 Pity Bruce does not get decent coverage on the BBC, same story as Neil Young it seems and regulated to some highlights. Why bother highlighting these acts on your adverts when you had no intention in showing them.
Comments 9:50pm on 27 Jun 2009 I emailed Danny Cohen, he is the head of music and audio at the BBC. To his credit, he replied.

Unfortunately, all he said was that Springsteen would be on BBC2, which we all kind of knew already... seemingly it will be just highlights and no one knows how much will be shown.

Thanks #104 for that info, just about sums it up then if the head of music does not know what is happening then.......maybe another loop of Lily!
Comments 9:46pm on 27 Jun 2009 Could the BBC EXPLAIN who is at fault with the poor coverage of the headliners? The BBC appear to have lied to the people who pay their wages, ie us the licence payers over coverage of this great music festival. Why raise expectations over coverage then fail to deliver? Endless repeats of Lily Allen might save costs but it's not what was advertised with your endless ads showing the names of Neil Bruce or Blur.
Comments 9:22pm on 27 Jun 2009 Very poor coverage from the BBC this year, endless repeats of Lily etc...expect Bruce fans to be treated in the same poor way as witnessed with Neil. The BBC HYPED these acts then failed to deliver. Maybe someone else could get the rights next year and provide a more balanced show, 12 stages with a huge range of music and what do we get, repeats of the same acts and a couple of DJs wittering on about how great it is to be there. They should remember who pays their wages!
Neil Young on the BBC 9:12pm on 27 Jun 2009 Wonder if Bruce will also block his live debut? The signs are looking poor for Bruce fans at the moment with Franz F advertised as main tv band? Hope I am wrong. This years coverage with all it's feeds is poor, endless repeats of Lily, Gaga etc.. With 12 stages of music would expect a bit more range of music.
A new style of Speaker? 12:13pm on 23 Jun 2009 Business as usual then! The bankers can still pay themselves millions in bonus payments and another speaker is elected to the old boys club to carry on this great 18th C act, so much for a modern government...
Speak - er, erm? 8:11pm on 22 Jun 2009 They talk about reform, about dragging the system into the current century but it seems nothing changes, we await the next man in some old robes repeating the order order mantra. Has anything changed?
