Iran: The shark swims away ... 11:24am on 02 Jul 2009 It will cost many Iranian lives. What is ironic is that most (young) Iranians don't believe these Satanic Rants. Reminds me of the Nazi, Seig Hail.

Despite the dissembling North Korea are protected by China. If China was minded to they could sort-out NK in weeks, even days.

I hestitate using the phrase 'axis of evil', but it's true. Ahmadinejad 'wins' his election and like a bullet shot over to Moscow to meet...China, Russia (I forget the others).

The Cold War has ended (evolved at least) but a new world tension has begun. Without the two school bullies the rest of the children are now falling out amoungst themselves.

Israel are largely blameless - if left alone they would be entirely blameless. However, they serve to distract the world from the despotic Arab regimes.

I know this is naive, but sometimes I imagine a new Democratic United Nations. You can't be a full member unless your electorate have legitimately voted you into power. A UN with a Premiership, and a Championship.

Iran: The shark swims away ... 8:57pm on 01 Jul 2009 It will be illegal for me, here in Britain, to say what I think about Islam. It will be illegal for the youth in Iran to say what they think about Democracy...makes you think.

For a few days I hoped Mousavi would be their Gorbachov, and R their Pope. It looked promising for a while, but alas it has fizzled out.

Religion helped the Poles, finally, kick out the Russians. Iran needs a religous revolution, which is not going to happen.

I really can't understand why went into Iraq when Iran has been real pain for so many years. A variation of the domino theory, I guess.

Once Iran gets the Bomb it will get worse, much worse, and almost inevitable that an Iranian Dr Stangelove will press the button and launch against Israel.

Ahmadinejad will do it, he will, you know he will - God help us.

Likely the arrest of Rafsanjani's daughter, a few days earlier, 'influenced' him.

It is unlikely that R could have a daughter who would so openly critisise the status quo without either his sympathy, or support.

The Poles had a Pope, a figurehead, to focus on. Iran has no-one.

The peoples revolution seems so near, yet still so far.

Why is it no one has the courage to confront Labour?
Of sex, money and politics 5:38pm on 27 Jun 2009 The Italians can't tell the difference between an election and an erection, and so imagine they are the same thing.

I am half-Italian myself, and know that all Italians are essentially misogynistic (except for their mothers, of course, which explains why they are all catholics).

Yep, St Peter certainly arrived at the right place to find sinners. The problem is (unlike the Brits) the Italians have not a scintilla of guilt to build on - they all enjoyyyy sinning so much.

The 'phoney' war of words 10:58am on 25 Jun 2009 In 1979 the Labour Govt in its final months in power presided over the 'Winter of Discontent'.

In 2010 the New Labour Govt in its final months in power will preside over the 'Sping of National Debt'.

To repay the debt Cameron must become the new Thatcher.

Why does the media allow Labour to decieve the public by dissembling the facts about this? The Tories are still continually being misrepresented by the media as the 'Nasty Party' when in fact they are the only political party with the courage and ability to force our economy to swallow the medicine it needs.
Iraq enquiry row rumbles on 11:25am on 24 Jun 2009 Essentially, what is the diffrence between a 'dodgy dossier', 'dodgy expenses claims' and now our new 'dodgy speaker'?

New Labour have contaminated and corrupted the entire political system.

The new speaker will cost the Tories ten seats in the election. Labour does not represent the country, it follows only its self interest.
Shadowing at sea 11:16am on 24 Jun 2009 I don't understand why people don't see the root problem as it really is. For example, Zimbabwe and North Korea are both problems that can be relatively quickly solved. However, it is South Africa and China who don't want the problem solved. It seems to me that they nurture and sustain the problems on their borders on order to distract attention from their own shortcomings.

With hindsight the leadership of Ian Smith was immeasurably better than Mugabe.

The Chinese claiming they don't want Korean refugees flooding over the border. Given the chance ALL refugees would flood into South Korea. The fact is that China nurtures and sustains the chaos in North Korea simply to prevent a unified Korea being an economic threat, in the future.

Both China and South Africa could stop providing power and trade and bring both these rouge nations to heel in weeks, but they nurture chaos, starvation, sickness and poverty.

I find listening to your reports pleasant, insightful and balanced. Your manner is so relaxed and content, which put the audience at ease. It is a pleasure to discover your bloggs are the same. I enjoy the way you present, for example, the tension in Iran in such a gentle and gentleman-like manner.

Perhap Khamenei might revise his opinion about how evil we are in Britain, after an interview with you.
