Man City come out of the darkness 07:23am on 06 Dec 2009 So, just to clarify, Manchester City have spent gazillions of pounds, they've beaten Chelsea and they might make the top four if they start winning away from home.

I missed the game. Would anyone like to fill me in about how and why Manchester City were able to beat a Chelsea team that looked so good the week before against Arsenal? All I got from this was "impressive stuff". Thanks.

Agree with the comment about Jack Hobbs, fantastic young defender and we are lucky to have him, especially on a four-year contract.

I am surprised no-one has commented about how dodgy Pearce looked on Monday night against us. As soon as DJ Campbell came on, he looked petrified and there was one moment when he was so scared of Campbell he ended up panicking and running the ball out of play. He's got a hell of a long way to go to be compared to Terry regardless of how young he is. Any number of young defenders are better than him in my opinion. I saw him a fair bit for Northampton in a loan spell in League One a couple of years ago and I think that's the division he'll end up in mainly due to lack of pace.

As an admirer of both Barcelona and Atletico (strangely enough), I'm never pleased to see such a brilliant player sign for Real but it will make for an even more exciting La Liga season hopefully.

I'm confused. Valid points being made as to why we disagree with what's been said, what's the problem?
Jeers and Booze 2:13pm on 14 May 2009 I'd be done for libel if I tried to write a blog involving Ashley Cole, and I don't even dislike him THAT much. Fair play.

The spirit of football, eh? When we drew Hartlepool away on a Tuesday night in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy I wasn't thinking of excuses - and if we're ever lucky enough to play in Europe again in my lifetime then I reckon I could stretch to a few layers to cope with it being a bit chilly.

As for the terrace bit, bring it on. The best thing about English football is standing on a terrace somewhere like Hereford and not expecting it to be like a five-star hotel.
Low-key start to Brazilian championship 12:26pm on 12 May 2009 17. Absolutely spot on. I'd add YouTube to that too. A couple of YouTube videos of an 18-year-old Brazilian doing a couple of stepovers and suddenly he's "awesome" or "the next [whoever]".

I would imagine Tim gets as annoyed as you suggest he might, but maybe doesn't want to create enemies from a relatively small interest base? Compared with someone analysing the Premiership (chance would be a fine thing) in the UK who can cause controversy because they can afford to alienate a small percentage of followers.
