Would YOU give him another chance? 11:41am on 30 Oct 2009 Marlon King is NOT a role model for anyone, never has been never will be, so please those of you who think he will affect youngsters, please be re-assured. However this constant coverage, in half term, may have a negative effect, especially to 'types' like the ten year old that swung his golf club at my car whilst I drove passed him. (mind you he is probably already 'there')

And I agree with Sarnia and Nelly (if I may be so bold as to abbreviate your name!) Eleanor is a fine presenter, who keeps her football preferences to herself unlike many others on 5live!! (in other words, a professional)
President Blair? 11:22am on 28 Oct 2009 Totally agree with your point, Sarnia, that some of the callers need to be challenged/educated. It's infuriating that we don't seem to have any presenters on 5live that perform this role.

Peter Allen does his best, granted, I'd like to see someone with teeth in Adrian's 'jiggle around'. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Not so long ago we didn't have to tolerate all this stuff about the presenters personal lives - it's now gone far to far imo. Please, the change I'd like is for this station to return to the professional quality that it once had. There are plenty of other commercial channels that do that stuff!

But i'll probably be modded as I seem to not be able to have my free speech on 5live blogs!

Exactly, but when I posted directly from a 5live report that said muslim protesters at the Wilder demo were holding signs stating "muslims will take over Europe" it was modded. Granted i asked why "as i hadn't made it up!" it was reposted. But again this morning my message was deleted when I asked -

"Why is everyone so critical of the bnp, when muslims at the wilder demo held signs saying “muslims will conquer the world” Double standards?

Everyone goes on about passages in the Koran and destroying the infidels and how they are misinterpreted, but surely people standing there right in front of our eyes and the television camera's stating their intentions cant be (misinterpreted)

So why does this get ignored. Aren't 'they' as appalling as some of the unpalatable views of the bnp?

For one, the BBC seem to be selective in their coverage. Have you heard them challenge the views of these muslims?
