Surprise, surprise....
The migrants within the Republic of Esperanto are desperatley learning English and queing up for the first flights in to London.
The Capitals of the Republic - make all the rules - and as they cannot handle the migration to the Esperantic Capitals,the economic responsibility to help them out is on English and London.
Just like the rest of them have been moving to America, Australia, Canada for 200 years...
Wonder when this Esperantic tragedy will come to pass !
Causing the mass migrations like the 1990s after the USSR meltdown...
Or the mass migrations of the 1800s and 1900s to Planet English.
Capitals are built on migration...and as London took most when USSR meltdown happened, it is only correct to legitimise that and make London the Capital of Europe - rather than the Esperantic farce we have now. It will be a befitting finale when English finally becomes the # 1 in the EU as in the rest of the world.
Lost in translation 2:24pm on 13 Nov 2009 The French have been waiting for 195 years to avenge Waterloo.
That is the primary reason why the EU was invented by Jean Monnet.
Since 1688, we have stood independently from the Republic of Esperanto (let the French, Germans, Spanish and Italians figure out one common language for the Federal Republic).
We havent done badly at all in those 321 years.
Australia
Canada
USA
All speak English.
So does India.
And HongKong - China.
And Japan, Korea, S Africa.
And all 9 are in G 20.
We can stand independently of the Republic of Esperanto.
Before President La-tino Blair issues directive # 007 from Brussels to dismantle the UK into Provinces of Mercia, Northumbria, Scotland, Wales, etc, it is time to let the Republic of Esperanto rant in the one language of their choice.
The French Foreign Minister can have his Nth Republic - one more try !
But they must stick with their side of the bargain - no Esperanto here. All migrants from the Republic of Esperanto to remain the responsibility of the Capital of Esperanto - Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid - take your pick.

If he does become Head of State, he will be the first Head of GB since 1688, owing allegiance to Rome once again. History maker surely, 321 years in the making.

Wait till the niceties are over.
They have been waiting for 195 years since 1814.
When the Germans join in, it wont be half as decent.
Waiting to see if David Miliband can let his actions speak.
I dont know if N Labour expected anything different.
Why cant they trust the people of UK to make the choice ?

Well, they will probably instruct President Blair to convey the indignities they have in store.
195 years in waiting for this moment.
And it will be double when the Germans join in.
This is what our leadership has willingly submitted to.
Why cant the people of UK be trusted to have more sense ?

Exactly right - if internal migration within the EU is the litmus test of where the Capital HQ of Europe should be, London/England have won the battle already.
The Nation-state of Europe has no Capital - and I have yet to see a Nation without a capital. Of course there is the UNO in NY - but that we know is a artificial capital.
So, Mr Blair will be the President of the Republic of Esperanto - a virtual Nation with a virtual Capital.
Free Trading Europe with 5,10,15 capital cities - what was the problem with the EEC ?
All I can see see is a EUSSR - dont know how many years it will take to meltdown - and then yet more migration to sanctuaries in Planet English once again.
But I guess, that is indeed the course of history - EUSSR by Napoleon, EUSSR by Hitler, EUSSR by Stalin, EUSSR by all together now...
Until they indeed end the dominance of Planet English ... like they got the Irish yes vote finally !
And we have a political leadership intent on suicide.... refusing the people of UK even a referendum. If the EU is so wonderful for UK, why are they scared to let people vote - or is abandonment of sovereignty too trivial a matter??

Linguistic facility is the # 1 reason for migration, above all.
Hence, when NL opened up UK to E Europe migration in the 1990s, it was evident that internal EE migration was a one way ticket to London/UK.
In fact, looking at migration positively and in the context of the history of British migration to Amercia, Canada, Australia over 300 years, I am inclined to think along the following lines :

Capitals are those centers that are central to creating economic growth and jobs for those who believe in them.
Capitals are those centers that are open to being owned by those who believe in them.
Capitals grow in size and are only limited by their capacity to serve the common interests of their believers.
Paris is the Capital of France and serves French interests.
Tokyo is the Capital of Japan in the same way.
London is the Global Capital of the believers in the English Language.
London was central to the expansion of the English speaking world in Australia, Canada, India, America.
Much like Rome is the Global Capital of the Catholic peoples.
Brussels is an enigma when you see it in this light.
It is the formal capital of an artificial union - like the UN HQ is in New York; like Moscow was Capital of USSR, and Belgrade the Capital of Yugoslavia.
Am not sure if Europe really can ever have a natural capital city that not only makes the rules but also creates the jobs and growth for the believers in Europe.
Most of the internal migration within EU is not headed for Brussels, but London. And, this is the real litmus test for a CAPITAL centre.
Perhaps the English Language will make London the natural CAPITAL of Europe finally. Maybe London is where the EU HQ should be relocated.

All of us migrate - from small villages to bigger towns, from small towns to Capital Cities, etc
When National boundaries are created and need to be crossed - in the pursuit of a basic human need, we get into this hysterical debate on Immigration.
We should not forget that Britons migrated in millions to America, Canada, Australia - and that exercise over 300 years created one of the biggest growth stories in World Economics that mankind has ever known. The one religion that enabled this to happen is actually not a religion but a language called ENGLISH.
To bring religion and race into a debate on Migration does not even attempt to understand that Migration is a basic human need that has been one of the biggest motors for economic growth.
It may appear ironinc to note that during the 300 years that saw the successful economic emergence of Planet English, a billion people of Undivided India were a crucial constituent of the 'Empire' - and neither their religion nor their race prevented them from contributing to this successful emergence.
I would like to believe that Migration is a basic human need - and as nations and civilizations learn to tap the energies of migration, they too will be successful.
Diverting the debate towards race and religion tends to look at migration negatively, not positively.
It appears ironic that the objections to Migration is primarily focussed on people of Different Colors and from 'Third World' - both pretty much objecting to Commonwealth Migration.
To attempt to object to a basic human need - which enabled millions to Migrate to America, Canada, Australia - if the 'color' is not right, does appear to limit the benefits of economic growth that Planet English helped in creating over 300 years based on 'color'.
It seems that Migrants from Ireland, Poland, and Germany are acceptable but if they are from India, Pakistan and Jamaica, they are not.
I do not know of any great religion (given that some comments tried to bring religion into the debate) that is the fountainhead of such thinking - given the role that the Commonwealth has played in the successful creation of Planet English. If they were 'Third World' 300 years ago, we wouldnt have been seen anywhere near them -as some are now suggesting.
The desire to share the 'spoils' of 300 years with people of one color - with whom we have been embroiled in bloody 'World Wars' during most of the same 300 years - seems inexplicable.
But if that is the take-away from this message board, all due respects to a point of view.
I think that the Migration issue must be treated in the context of a basic human need - and the capacity to permit it to take place must be encouraged and sustained in a manner that both the hosts and the guests benefit.
Because it has proven to be bestow economic growth on a scale never witnessed before in history.
And because ENGLISH would not be the world language it is without the Commonwealth.

PRESIDENT OF PLANET ESPERANTO :

It is indeed ironinc that Mr Blair will be chosen to preside over Planet Esperanto - and attempt to end the dominance of Planet English. This is the way I have always felt about these developments in the context of our 321 years since 1688:

1. The special relationship: is really a bond that binds not just UK to USA but India, Canada, Australia, S Africa. The bonds are based on the fact that over 300 years since William and Mary in 1688, the winner in gloabl economics is the singular success of Planet English.
2. Notwithstanding the 1812 episode with the US, it is a fact that after the Civil War between 1868 to 1912, the contribution of the Capital from Britain in rebuilding USA led to its transformation from the "Australia" that it was.
3. The reasons for Britain to "cede" super-power status was not from choice, but because it had to. And it would not have ceded it to the US, had USA chosen to speak German, Spanish, or French. Hard truth is that the USA was seen as an extension of the English language.
4. The reasons why Britain had achieved the capacity to dominate, was because it had India - so said Churchill himself on more than one occasion. India not only provided the capital, that UK was able to deploy to build America, Australia, Canada, India also provided millions of soldiers to the cause of Empire. Without them, the Empire wouldnt even been able to dream of confronting the Europeans - Napoleon first, Hitler second.
5. So, it is appropriate to consider the 300 years as a triumph of Planet English. Both Britain and now America are in a state of megalomania, when they believe it is their individual nations that keeps them at Number one and not Number ten !
6. The Europeans have now regrouped - Napoleon, Hitler, and Stalin have been trying to end the dominance of Planet English. They are aided in this effort by Latin Europe - 75 % of EU is Catholic - and the Holy Roman Empire may soon be able to end the dominance of Planet English.
7. It is time for Planet English to regroup - this wont happen as America seems to have enetered the same megalomaniacal state that caused Britains demise from Number one, each ignoring that the real reason for their Number One position was not their individual nations but the 1.8 billion strong Planet English that stands behind them.
8. Otherwise, there are three challengers waiting to end the dominance of Planet English - Planet Esperanto, Planet Mandarin, Planet Arabic - take your pick !

So, I think - happy to debate to flush out the truth; truth hurts, but is liberating, and so can lead to Perfect Wisdom
