Who is batting for file-sharing proposals? 2:49pm on 28 Aug 2009 Some people have been breaking copyright law via illegal downloading (probably through bittorrent)

The affected media industries then turn to governments to sort the problem out for them.
The proposed solution is to monitor all internet use to check that it doesn't infringe their copyrights.

I don't give my consent for them to violate my privacy but they are going to try and do it anyway.

We don't NEED a youtube channel OR a second life area for government information and resources when there is a perfectly good website for th-...oh wait...

How about informing people through basic, sensible mediums first rather than "reaching out" to the younger generation by way of totally obsure means to post data.
Be honest, who logs on to second life when trying to find something before they search for a website?

A swing to the pirates 11:07am on 09 Jun 2009 I think that the entire problem is solved if copyrighted music and movies become free to file-share after 10 years.

Most of the file-sharers will rejoice and most of the big bad industry men will complain (and will not realise the blessing in disguise)
Phorm's phlat product launch 5:26pm on 03 Jun 2009 Why is this still not an opt in system.
If phorm want their product sold they should realise that few people want to be spied on without some kind of compensation.

Better adverts?
...I hear phorm tell me but I'm talking more like:
A cheaper broadband package when phorm is included or perhaps a monthly compensation payment.
THEN I'll think about it.

According to the "Who's Watching You" series, personal information powers the internet. I disagree. I'm still fairly discreet and I hope my ISP understands that I want to stay that way.

The message of the internet:

Give the users/consumers choice. Don't decide for them.

This message is everywhere on the internet: facebook and twitter changes, P2P filesharing vs. the music industry, ISPs to use Phorm, etc...
