Review of the week 11:31pm on 29 May 2009 31. You ruin your reputation in your first sentence. If you were at the game, you would know that Gazza attempted to put his studs through Garry Parker's chest, before his crazy lunge at Gary Charles resulted in the injury that ruined his career. I can think of no more blatant self-inflicted injury in the last 20 years. It was only because the ref was Roger Milford - the smiling referee - that he was only yellow-carded as he was stretchered off, and not red-carded.

I think you're in line for the "most biased opinion of the week" award.

Fantastic again! F1 is my second sport behind football, and now that my team, Nottingham Forest, have survived the drop zone - big thanks to Norwich for that - I have a wonderful summer of racing to look forward to!

I was dreading life in the third tier (again), and the ritual Ferrari/McLaren sprint to the finish, but neither of these have happened.

And it's all down to you, Jake - you're a wonderful man! Let's hope that come 1 Nov we have Jensen as champion, and, as deference to you, also that Norwich are already 10 points clear at the top of Div 3.

The chaos and thrills of a grand prix Sunday 11:28pm on 21 Apr 2009 Hi Jake,

Just want to say I have really enjoyed the F1 coverage so far. I used to watch it on the Beeb before the move to ITV, and I thought that ITV improved the coverage 100% (Martin is a big part if that). (That didn't stop me groaning at every commercial break, mind you, especially when you come back to a replay of the only significant moment in the race). So far I would say that you have raised the bar again - so well done.

I'm not convinced by the evening races. I think they made the first race harder, and the second impossible, as the conditions on the track would have been different had the race run at 1PM local time. But then - I would get up/stay up to watch them! I'm looking forward to the European races, as they will suit my Sunday much better. Having said that - the Chinese Grand Prix worked well for me. We start setting up church at 8am and I get home again around 1PM, so this week I watched all the intro, right up to just before the start, and when I got home I had enough time to get a cup of tea before the re-run started! (Thanks for putting it back 10 minutes for me!)
