Actually, it was my great-grandparents who bred to excess, my grandmother being one of fourteen. Only eight survived to breeding age, though.

Bearing in mind my opinions on population growth, I don't expect a horde of grandkids. In my family, like Roald Dahl's, we tend to long generations, a thirty-to forty year period being the norm, and, the last generation to breed beyond 'replacement' level was that of my grandparents....
