It's all up in the air 9:47pm on 14 Apr 2009 Ha at ChrisGib and the Brundlefly comment. I once had the honour of asking one D.Cronenberg at a film festival about the character from his rather excellent movie the Fly and if it was connected in anyway with M.B. I was nicely suprised to hear yes it was, Cronenberg being a petrol head thought it would be amusing to call his main character who suffered from travel sickness after a F1 driver, Martin was changed to Seth and the rest was history. Well at least until the sequel some years later when Chris Walas (who isn't a petrolhead as far as I know but certainly knows how to blow up people's heads in an effects way, just see Scanners!) actually went the whole way and called son of Seth, Martin. Normal F1 service now resumes.. have a good one in China, it will be interesting to see how many new diffusers will turn up there.
Filling for Britain at storm time 01:51am on 10 Apr 2009 Two races in and there's been more action and controversy in just those two races than the whole of the last few years of ITVs coverage. But where as we used to get a voice over at the end of the programme saying things have changed, you folks are in the thick of it tacking extra bits on to reruns, like Australia and keeping us up to date. Red button action has been great, keep up the extra stuff like the full Lewis Press Con, the extra chat to Martin and of course the views of a certain Mr. Walker (why he's not Sir Murray by now mystifies me).
Sure there have been a few little problems, loss of transmission after Q2 in Oz (at least it wasn't an advert over the end of the race-ahem ITV), or technicians appearing at left of frame connecting cables, but on live transmissions these things happen. The important bit, is not to take things too seriously, as F1D+ did back in '02 and as you folks are doing so far this year, you're having fun with what you're doing and that makes watching it more enjoyable.
Coverage outside of FOM has been brilliant, love the forum, Brundle's new touch screen tv, even his walks seem to have a new energy in them and a whole lot of Toyota backsides, was amusing. DC great, EJ will get there as will Mr Legard (although he should lay off shoving Martin with his elbow when he's finished his bit to camera like he did in the Malaysian comms box, made me smile though)and Ted really has come into his own this year. Lee is getting into the scrum a bit more too and I like the touch of getting everyone together at the end of the forum in Oz. As for you Mr.H, not bad at all, looks like you've been doing this for years. "Bye bye Stefano" was the catchphrase of the weekend. Congrats to all involved, F1 really has come home (corny but oh so true).
The morning after the morning before 12:18pm on 30 Mar 2009 Well done to all concerned. Best coverage we've had, maybe even better than F1D+ back in '02. Recovering from the strange hours over the long weekend but it was worth it- congrats.

Sleeping on planes is never an easy thing for me either. Very true about there is no such thing as bad publicity as far as behind the scenes of F1 is involved, in fact I'm quite pleased the FOTA actually pointed out that what Bernie was doing was illegal within the rules of the FIA. I sometimes wonder what the heck Bernie is up to. Well I've booked a long weekend off- roll on 1am Friday night for some F1 red button action (the first since 2002 for me)- best of luck to you and all the team (keep an eye on EJ- he can get a bit exictable if he hasn't got a drum kit in front of him ;) ), it's good to have F1 back where it belongs!
