The great fly-over problem 09:13am on 04 Jul 2009 #7 I am 100% behind you in what you saw.I visted perth a few years ago on business and saw aboriginal people sitting in a park under a tree,drinking and eating.As i was walking past,all i could here was white australians complaining that they shouldnt be allowed to do that.That it spoils the park and no one can go in and use it because they will cause trouble if they see us walk in.My god,they were sitting in a park,on a sunny day,under a tree,having a drink and eating,causing no harm.Yet within 45 minutes the police turned up and moved them on exactly as you have described.Virtually where ever i went,everytime you saw an aborigine,white australians would glare at them as though,what are you doing here.There is all forms of racism all throught he world including here in the uk,but we have nothing compared to what goes on in australia.I visit australia on business upto 10 times per year and there is not one time in the last 12 yrs that i have not seen or heard a bad comment about aborigines.I used to say that australia in some respects was 20 years ahead of us,but that has gone,its a country that is now 30 years behind us and as long as the ordinary white australian contiunues this behaviour,then the problem will never be resolved
The Pom influence 07:35am on 27 Jun 2009 Nick,this subject will always bring the same response from english and australians.Look at the typical response from some australians already.They dont like brits.We dont like them.My god with interstate rivalry,they dont like each other.So let them carry on with the word they love hearing themselves say loudly,POM,let them become a republic and let them carry on in there own little world.I and many more brits dont want to be associated with convicts that dont even own there own land.Funny they dont say SORRY very loudly do they
Making arguments on race 5:55pm on 19 Apr 2009 Ive been to Australia many times over a period of 8 years on business,Perth,Brisbane,Adelaide,Melbourne,Canberra and Sydney to mention a few.In my own opinion the vast majority of australians ive met and worked with are the most self opinionated,racist,short sighted people in the modern world.In all the countries ive visited,which is 27 from europe,through asia and the americas,australia tops the league in racism.I visited the melbourne museum when they had an exhibition on indigenous people complete with videos etc.I thought i would take a look.Whilst sitting down,on my own i add,watching the video,3 australian families with young children simultaneously came into where the video was being shown and everyone told there children to "Cmon,we are not watching that".Great way to bring up your children,only showing them your own biggoted ways.The pom rubbish that every brit hears.Prisoners of mother england? Ask yourself this,The original prisoners of mother england are your ancestors,so does that not make you,the australian,the true pom?After all,the prisoners were your family.Even from state to state,they hate one another.Go to NSW,they keep on about kick a VIC.VICS hate those from SA.WA say the rabbit fence is up to keep Croweaters out.Australians seem to hate one another,let alone any foreigner.Australians need to realise,that they are not as big and clever as they think they are,they are as a victorian once told me about adelaide,a backwater.Every country has it racism and contempt for others,but australia is still to me the most modern racist country in the world
