Axe hangs over Bourdais 6:56pm on 11 Jul 2009 Raikkonen made it very clear he intended to finish his F1 career with Ferrari and had no interest in going elsewhere.

While it would indeed be interesting to see what he could do back with McLaren, or moving to Brawn, I can't see it happening.
How Mosley lost F1 power battle 1:43pm on 25 Jun 2009 With polls showing that 80%+ backed FOTA, and only 6% unhappy that Mosley's gone, it's clear that this was the only possible way F1 could move forwards.

In some respects I'm disappointed they didn't go all the way - get rid of Ecclestone and CVC and start with a clean slate, but hopefully now we've got some common sense instilled into the decision making processes they can start undoing the 10 years of damage Mosley's done to the on-track racing with his crazy ideas.

He should have gone years ago. This is very long overdue

Well so Max, put us public aren't stupid, and I doubt the BRDC are either, while they're free to do what they like you seem to be forgetting that you screwed them over only 12 months ago, and I'm sure they'll be looking to see what happens over the next couple months before they side with anyone. When they do I#m placing my bets on FOTA getting the deal with them.

Twists and turns of breakaway row emerge 3:49pm on 21 Jun 2009 The change from 2012 to 2014 doesn't come as any surprise to me, it's typical of the sort of underhand tactics Mosley employs, and to then claim it was the FOTA teams that backed down on something that had already been agreed.... enough said.

Frankly, claiming that top figures are loonies in a BBC interview will achieve nother other than to irritate and bolster FOTA's determination to set up the breakaway so that they're rid of him once and for all.

Online polls have shown that figure to be closer to 90%
Go for it FOTA, contrary to Mosley's wildly inaccurate claims, you most definitely do have the support.
Rumour mill moves into top gear in Istanbul 8:43pm on 09 Jun 2009 With regards my last post I should perhaps have added that the teams will only be able to work on improving engine efficiency if the engine freeze is lifted, if it isn't then their hands will pretty much be tied and a good area for development will be stifled

That's a very good point and in fact to some degree the scrapping of refuelling will encourage the teams to work on improving engine efficiency. The thirstier the cars are the bigger the fuel tanks (causing limitations in other areas) and the heavier the cars will be, giving them a weight disadvantage (and therefore speed disadvantage) to the less thirsty engines.
While refuelling was in force, the importance of fuel consumption was reduced somewhat, so I think this is one (amongst a few) good reasons for refuelling to be banned next year

Err actually it won't. KERS doesn't save any fuel whatsoever, it merely provides additional power on top of what the engine is otherwise capable of producing, so how does it possibly make F1 greener ??

In fact, quite the contrary, the manufacturing costs, the materials used, and the disposing of chemicals (in the form of batteries) once they've reached their short lifespan all add up to making KERS far from green.

It reminds me of a documentary a while back on what people were doing to "go green" when a family declared "we're doing our bit, we've ditched our 3 year old petrol guzzler and bought a duel fuel Lexus". It was then pointed out that given the manufacturing processes behind making that new Lexus they'd have been greener if they'd kept the petrol guzzler . . .
Storm clouds gather over F1 6:51pm on 04 Jun 2009 Moseley's playing a very silly game.
A quick poll on the BBC F1 forum currently suggests that if Moseley stands his ground, the FOTA teams exit, and next year's grid consists of Williams with 9 or 10 new teams then 40% will stop watching, with a further 30% losing a fair amount of enthusiasm.
He could very possibly fall flat on his face with this one, and if he refuses to stand aside and let someone responsible take over then I very much hope he does.
F1 battle lines are drawn 12:01pm on 15 May 2009 'will appear to shocking to many' Hmmm. It would be nice if a BBC correspondent could show at least a basic command of English. I think 'too' was the word you were looking for ;-)

Oh the irony, if you're going to criticise other's lack of "a basic command of English" it might be wise to get your own sorted first - I think you mean "unenforceable" ROFL
