Lyme disease - useful information 7:31pm on 19 Mar 2009 I was diagnosed with lymes disease in August 2006 after my face was paralized, I had pins and needles in my hands, arms, legs and feet. I couldn't breathe well, and nearly had to be ventilated. I had been on a camping holiday and came back ill. They discharged me from hospital three times in one week before they admitted me and then I was in hospital for three weeks and I have been back numerous times since..... I have had MRI scans, CT scans and lots of lumbar punctures.... they LOST my lymes disease test results twice, and after 12 months agreed that I had the disease... they have NEVER treated me with antibiotics and I have symptoms I have had to learn to live with which have at times dominated my life. I get very tired, dizzy, sick, I get facial weakness and I have problems speaking at times..... Any advice as what to do now would be appreciated. I am a young mother with three children. I don't think I received the treatment I should have....
