Has Arsenal borrowed too much? 08:55am on 14 Jul 2009 Yes they probably have borrowed too much. However, let's not forget that Arsene Wenger has obtained most of his star players at a fraction of the the cost of the other big 4's stars and he usually sells them on for considerably more than he paid!!!!
Owen worth Man Utd gamble 3:13pm on 03 Jul 2009 You can't grumble about getting Owen on a free transfer. Even if he's only 75% fit he will get you 10-15 goals a season. I hope that this restores his career because he has been one of the few professional footballers that has always been a true role model to our youngsters! He's been a success at every club bar Newcastle....all the best to him!!!!
How to borrow £200bn 12:09pm on 22 Apr 2009 This is very scary indeed! The public takeover of corporate bodies amounts to nothing more than fascism in the long run! This seems to be happening globally with government bailouts coming from everywhere! To keep a healthy balance in society between public and corporate interests we need to let some the big corporate players fall on their own sword and start again with a clean slate.

Tories to break up banks? 3:39pm on 08 Apr 2009 This is a grand notion, that if the Tories were voted into power we would see a big change in stategy! I believe that even a politician with best intentions will succumb to the agenda of the 'real' powers that be, once voted into power. We have seen it time after time. The big promise of sweeping changes to 'improve' things and it is rarely ever achieved!

Should the banks back Britain? 10:02am on 08 Apr 2009 Our problem is very simple. Our central banks (BoE, Federal Reserve etc) have flooded the market with credit. For years our society has been programmed by the media towards a 'buy now pay later' way of thinking!

As we all know, credit is another word for debt. SO, once there is too many laons/debt in the system we as a people then become vunerable to economic exploitation by international bankers, who ultimately control the economy. If there is too much debt or bad credit in the system when the national debt is recalled, it is enevitable that the debt accrued will not be wholly payable by the government so then in turn they must call in their loans and so on until it reaches the end of the line. When this chain reaction takes place there HAS to be a number of parties out there who cannot pay their debts (there is not enough physical money in circulation to cover that debt EVER!) and the system begins to collapse like a house of cards. Now, when this happens the only place that the money can come from to pay the debt, is from the central bank and the whole cycle starts all over again! Except this time there is more debt in the system because of the newly added money from the central bank.

Bad regulation of the credit, loans and money supply cannot be entirely a mistake. Central banks ultimately know how much potential credit & money is in the system before they begin to recall their payment.

It is a fact that our central banks do not have the transparency required by the public or indeed government to keep the economy safe from this type of exploitation.

We are now coming to a historical crossroad. The term New World Order is being used very often by our leaders and it seem as though the NWO will be based on a one world currency, which will eventually move towrds a one world government! Scary times people!
That bloomin' pension again 09:33am on 06 Apr 2009 This post is a distraction from the real concerns that I have. China are putting up the largest cash amount for this stimulus package post G20. Therefore, they are proving that they are now the world's new economic super power. Doesn't this show that the power has already shifted from West to East! and that the US is most likely going to fall from grace in the near future in much the same way the USSR did? What will the world be like without the same strong presence that the US has had over the last few decades? With talk of the New World Order that is being bandied about, I think it poses the question, what exactly will this 'new world order' look like?

RBS: Stop the flogging 10:04am on 03 Apr 2009 Sadly enough I do see Sir Philip Hampton's point on the 'public flogging' of RBS, but on the other hand what can he expect? It is a shame that things had to go this far before banks were reigned in! Unless the bank chooses to fully change it's culture over the long term future, instead of just apponiting a new head and expecting their problems to go away with old management, then they can expect the same contempt for the foreseeable future!

Making banking boring 08:40am on 03 Apr 2009 Come on does anyone really think that pumping more cash into a clearly flawed economic model will see us 'turn a corner', please!

This is the biggest practical joke (or robbery) in the history of mankind. Does anyone really know how much 'bad-debt' there is in the system, probably not. I have heard no talk of derivatives at this G20 summit or their role in chaos that has been caused. If we do not have a clear picture of the total costs then how we propose to solve the problem?

Just sounds like they are throwing money at the problem instead of thinking things through clearly and coming up with a well researched and thoughtout plan. We are still in trouble guys and gals do not be fooled by these people.

Obama is being advised by Geitner and would trust that money grabbing so and so with a fiver let alone the worlds economy!

G20: The big money decisions 1:16pm on 02 Apr 2009 "Finally, it's still slightly unclear whether the leaders will announce a policy of publicly humiliating tax havens that don't co-operate on disclosing the identities of potential tax dodgers."

Let's face it the elite won't want us know where their hiding all of their cash now do they!?

If this is the extent of the solution then it seems to be a perpetuation of the status quo. This just sounds like a bigger cash injection into the same business model that is currently being used with no real radical changes. So, ultimately we'll be having this discussion at some point in the future then?
