Avoid scam festival tickets 7:24pm on 10 Mar 2009 Something that I would advise - if you brought a ticket from one of the mentioned sites, or even one of the other 'dodgy' looking sites, you should probably cancel your card straight away. This would be a good precautionary measure to avoid any further tears.

Also, it would be good if Watchdog could look into other ticket web-touts.

Since we can't mention website names, google the term

'v festival tickets'

Then click on

'more sponsored links'

This will give you a list of the most dodgy touts.
Avoid scam festival tickets 8:41pm on 09 Mar 2009 Damagink, I think you're right. Sadly I am one of those people who brought tickets from a dodgy site and have learnt the hard way. At the time I think it was down to panic-buying. Any future purchases will be via official outlets and with a credit-card :)

What these websites are doing is still wrong and we need get rid of them and in the meantime educate other people from making the same mistakes.
Avoid scam festival tickets 8:26pm on 09 Mar 2009 mandijmathews , from what I've read about Double8tickets, they do quite often deliver. A lot of the complaints seem to be about incorrect tickets being issued (like worse seats etc).

If they don't deliver and you paid by credit-card that should cover you.

Ideally we should get all these sites shut-down. Can't stand them!
