Writers Academy 14 3:56pm on 13 Jul 2009 Ceri, of those, how many have fared better this time compared to previous applications? Have they all made the workshop/shortlist before?
Writers Academy 14 8:06pm on 10 Jul 2009 Ceri, you suggest that people try again, but I hear and read of people who've tried two, three times and never seem to get any further. Is is possible to say of the thirty on the shorlist, how many have applied before? How many are making progress, how many get selected on a second or third application?
Writers Academy 13 10:00pm on 28 May 2009 I used to be a script judge on a young peoples screenwriting contest for C4. There was always lots of scripts in which kids discovered that their mum and dad weren't their parents and that their real, rich, cool, beautiful parents were swooping back to gather them up into the family bosom. Then one year there was a lot of scripts in which kids discovered that not only were their parents not their parents but that their species wasn't their real species and that their real, rich, cool, bug eyed but still beautiful parents where in fact swooping across the galaxy to gather them back into the family bosom/tentacles.

Never did figure out exactly why.
In which direction will the helicopter head? 10:01pm on 19 May 2009 Oh dear Dublin bear, McDonald first. He went for the ball and he got the ball. That was his intent. He pulled his leg back when he realised how it was going to catch Wilkie, which is why Wilkie carried on playing. If he'd kept his leg straight, like Bougherra, then yes you could say there was intent. But he didn't and his challenge isn't even in the same league as Bougherra's. I doubt his intent was to catch the keeper on the face, but it was a reckless challenge for a ball he was always going to be third to and it was only good fortune there wasn't serious damage to Langfield.

Loovens, fair enough. A sneaky one and he'll get done for it.

In which direction will the helicopter head? 5:46pm on 19 May 2009 Bougherra's challenge was dangerous - he went in for a ball he was never going to get, studs up and caught the keeper in the neck and face. Intent is irrelevent - otherwise most fouls could be challenged. Nowhere else but Scotland, with Rangers wanting a player back for a league decider, would he get off with it. It'll be a scandalous decision if the SFA do rescind it.
