But the WAS play acting earlier in the game, if you were there you would have known that
Diary of a Championship footballer 3:01pm on 22 Oct 2009 Can i ask you about the Gunnarsson incident?? Im a season ticket holder at Hillsborough so see all the home games. During the first half on Saturday Gunnarsson got caught a little late off the ball, incidently by Leon Clarke, and went down like he'd been shot!!! Play didnt stop for him, rightly imo because you could tell he was faking, and when play did stop the 2 Coventry physio's came on and Gunnarsson immediately sprung up off the floor realising he would have to go off if he got treatment and waved them away.

Was your reaction to the 2nd incident partly due to what happened in the first half, that you simply thought he was faking again, or was it simply a mistake on your behalf and you didnt notice/see the incident in the first half??

Personally i dont have much sympathy for Gunnarsson, i dont want to see anyone hurt on the pitch obviously, from either team, but he play acted first half so you cant blame people for reacting the way they did 2nd half, he brought that on himself...boy who cried wolf and all that!!!

Anyway hard luck Tuesday night, very frustrating sat behind that goal first half with all those chances, the Preston goal lead a very charmed life!!!!! Nice free kick though, its one of those when you're right behind it you know its in as soon as you hit it, shame we didnt go on and get 3 points, we need to get back on track Friday night, we're a better side than the table shows at the moment.

Just like you i spent the entire half time break with my head burried, the only difference being me sat on the away end with my head in my hands rather than a towel in the dressing room, all i could think about was boxing day 79' and our famous 4-0 win and how after 30 years it was all over, no longer could we bragg about our famous hammering of the Blades.

My only thought was whatever the final result we HAD to keep that occasion intact...please dont concede any more goals and god forbid even worse take a bigger hammering.

In the end i had nothing to worry about, the 2nd half performance was excellent, at 3-2 i honestly thought we were going to go on and not only equalise but win 4-3!! but as daft as it sounds, and i remember saying to my girlfriend next to me at the time, its 1-0 again in effect and we're in the game, and we seemed to go back into our shell the last 15 minutes when we realised what was at stake, but take nothing away from our display, some of the football was excellent and to be fair it has been all season.

We'll win more than we lost if we carry on producing the same type of football, we're very close to being a very good side in this division
