I think the front row are playing well but Vickery's discipline does worry me. The hooker spot is unpredictable too. Hines is playing well so gets the nod ahead of AWJ. The back row are a mix of pace, experience and power and will need all of the 3 against the Boks. The backs are the in form backs and pick themselves. Who would have thought Ugo Monye would have a test spot for the Lions this time last year? The bench I have chose can all make big impacts in their positions. I have put Hook in front of Ronan O'Gara based on the fact he has that extra bit of attacking influence. O'Gara generally has the same attributes as Stephen Jones.

Six Nations Team of the Tournament 9:31pm on 23 Mar 2009 England2003 - interesting point of view there. I must say France away on a Friday night cannot be a walk in the park fixture, so add that to our "easy" fixture list.

And I have already agreed that England did improve no end from start of tournament to end....if only Italy had picked a scrum half in the first game eh? But with England improving to the level they finished the tournament in, next years tournament should prove to be an interesting one with England and Frances teams gelling, Ireland as champions, Wales will still be there too so it should be very unpredictable.

As for Mr Gatland, I agree with you. He talked up the Wales team and they did not deliver to their full capabilities. Simple as.

Now for the last one, Shane Williams. I have said the reason he is world player of the year is because he was untouchable in 2008. This year he has not been the force he was last year and his try scoring exploits and ability to change games has shown on Wales results and lack of points and tries this year.

And at the end of the day Ireland did deserve to win this tournament. Are we near agreeing now?
Six Nations Team of the Tournament 3:28pm on 23 Mar 2009 OK I am Welsh and England2003 I am going to be realistic here, the Welsh do not think they are the best in the world, the reason you finished 2nd because you played against a France team that did not show up and massed points on them. And to be fair to England, they improved so much as the tournament went on. Hopefully next years tournament will be better? Shane is player of the year because he had a magnificent 2008. I think the reason there are 5 Welsh players in this team is the fact that only 5 of them played well. The other 10 did not! Ireland deserved to win the tournament because they were the best team. I more or less agree with the 15 but I think Euan Murray would have been in had he played more games. And I think Jamie Heaslip deserves to be in at number 8. And Ronan O Gara would edge out Jones, along with Kearney edging Byrne. So yeah, thats down to 3 Welsh players, is that few enough players to stop you complaining England fans?
