The battle over class sizes 7:07pm on 03 Dec 2009 Re my comment at 13: Yes, the BBC are running with the FM misleading the Parliament. Once trailing the 6.30 news, during the programme and at the end of the programme. Haven't been able to listen to Newsdrive but no doubt Labour's accusation will have had an outing or three.
The battle over class sizes 4:13pm on 03 Dec 2009 Noticed on the lunchtime news that Glenn was repeating Labour's claim that the FM once again misled the Parliament. I wonder how often this will be aired? Oftener, no doubt, than the report that Jim Murphy had to remove claims about Paul McBride. Will it be on a par with the Megrahi affair? Will Glenn be as zealous in pursuing the FM as he was McAskill? Can't wait!

Soft landing 7:20pm on 01 Dec 2009 I am an ardent supporter of the SNP but classes of 18 is an aspiration too far and practically unachievable. If they can keep class numbers to 25 I feel that is more realistic and should be acceptable to most people.
Soft landing 6:58pm on 01 Dec 2009 27 NCA999: I disagree. The White Paper was published yesterday. That's done and dusted for the time being. Time to move on and, let'sface it, there isn't much more of importance than our children's education. An account has to be given by those councils who are not spending the funds they were given for schools, teachers etc., and I hope Mike Russell is the man to get answers.
Soft landing 2:56pm on 01 Dec 2009 Fiona Hyslop should have gone some time ago. She's a nice enough woman but a lightweight and didn't come out well in interviews and debates. What is needed is a bruiser who can deal with the obdurate councils backtracking on their education commitments. Mike Russell, I think, might just be the man and he certainly won't be shouted down by anyone. Glenn Campbell can vouch for that.
