Um fergie took control in nov 86 and won his first trophy in 89-90 season which means under him united have never gone trophyless for 3 complete seasons, and look who's talking a l'pool fan of every one out there.

Man Utd right to sell Ronaldo 4:15pm on 11 Jun 2009 I think united should make an audacious bid for messi I mean 80 mil from ronaldo and 10 mil from our own pocket.
I know it ain't gonna happen but still there is nothing wrong in dreaming.
I for one would really miss ronaldo but as many have said he wanted to go and this probably was the right time to sell him.

It is really idiotic to compare what SAF achieved in his first 5 years to what rafa has achieved in his first five years because rafa inherited a team that was already a top 4 while when SAF united were deifinitely not a top 4 team.When fergie came united were in a complete mess,he had to rebuild everything that is why he didn't win anything in his first 5 years.
Man Utd are worthy champions 12:39pm on 17 May 2009 Great blog phil.What i will like to point out is that fergie spends large amounts on 1-2 really good players and then rest is done by a really good youth academy while benitez spends the same amount on 5-6 average players.It is not as if united spend truckloads more than liverpool but the fact that they usually spend it more wisely (although even fergie has made a few mistakes).
On tevez i feel £32m is really a waste of money cause as has been rightly said before(according to me) he is a poor man's rooney.He does give it all on the pitch and i really like him but i guess the time has come to say goodbye.
You rightly said that the best team wins the title and i'm ecstatic to say that it has been us this season.Hopefully the season still holds another trophy for us.

Losers might have scored some goals recently but that is more due to some really poor defending.We'll take everything from you except your title as the most boring team and obviously rafa "it's anyone's fault but our's that we drew so many matches" benitez.
Man Utd pile on agony for Wenger 12:03pm on 06 May 2009 just read on bbc that fletcher's card will stand.This is really awful,feel so sad for him.He has been as you rightly said phil one of the unsung heroes for us this season,but football can be really cruel sometimes.

What i don't understand though is that a few years ago when liverpool won the champions league and finished outside the top 4 uefa willingly bended their rules to allow them to compete in the next season's edition while they wouldn't rescind an incorrectly handed out red card and are forcing fletch to miss the bloody finals,uefa surely is filled with idiots.
