Republicans' lack of leaders 04:28am on 08 Jul 2009 A post O'man win says to both parties that neither has any leadership, ideals or new ideas. After forty years of two party central government run by business it is time for new insights into government and new, not from the same old and failing leadership.
The American people, the MiddleAmerican2010, understand they are the core of America. They will have to pay and have had to pay for Republican and Democratic failure in leadership. These hard working Americans are looking at both real political parties and now see that they are not for America or for the working Americans.
Yes, the republicans have no new names in the lead, neither do the Democrats. That is because the have no new ideas, they are not separate parties and worst they have lost sight that they should have been pro-American instead of trying to destroy the very people who elected them.
MiddleAmerican2010 and proud of the fact I am for America and not a Democrat or Republican party.
Thoughts on Obama's press conference 3:53pm on 25 Mar 2009 What a talker, but you do notice he dislikes being questioned. How sad. However, as the Oman will find in the future it is much better when the press is told what they can say or they will not be invited back.
I am agaist the new trillions to buy bank bad loans. There is a better way that will not require printing of inflated worthless money nor begging to China to give us money. It will use Americans wealth.
All banks have to cut every principal of all home loans by one third. This new amount is then refi at one percent. This window will be open for six months and each home owner is allowed to use this only once. At the end of this window the rates and inflation will start again. Banks have to write off one half of the third and the federal government will give then in cash one half of the amount they have written off. Banks can use the written off amount as atax loss for one year. This will inject money into the system that s tied up in over priced home loans. Also every American that has any kind of check, Federal, state, working will be required to purchase American savings bonds at the rate of 3% of their gross. This money to go to pay off the debt now owed. Americans would then receive the interest over the next decades instead of China.
No new debt. Billions every month in bond money being paid in, home owners with extra cash to invest or spend and it is all done with no new trillions being made or allowing other nations to own more of the USA. It is as they say a win/win fo America.
Trucks - the coming trade war? 03:55am on 18 Mar 2009 This has nothing to do with a trade war or breaking agreements, which need to relooked at, this is a safety and security issue. Truck driver's ability to meet the American highway safety test and the equipment, tractors and trailers that are equal to American laws. The simplest way to avoid this is the Mexican trailers are brought into a trade area and an American driver an tractor take it over the road in America.
Security is the ability to search the incoming trailors. At this time your government would rather spend a few billion on poorly rebuilding and over charging in Iraq then set up and man the required stations in America.
NAFT is an idea that is great on paper, makes great profit for companies and leaves the American consummer with third rate and have to be returned items. I feel the entire idea should be scrapped. In exchange Mexico develops its oil reserves and the manufactoring that moved south comes back into America or be taxed as it comes across. If the labor rates had increased, if the standard of living had increased, NAFTA would have been a success.. As it is the very rich in Mexico have gotten richer and the poor stream to the north for low paying jobs, that are ten times/ a hundred times more money then they could make working for the Mexican/American concerns.
For the next five years it will be a time for Americans to understand thrift and bringing back manufactoring. It will be a time to make the idea made in America as being the very best and what Americans want plus what the rest of the world desires. The next five years will be returning manufactoring to America and you will be able to choose any item in a store with the made in America ticket on it.
Sarkozy talks up European defence 4:33pm on 14 Mar 2009 This idea has been gaining ground for three decades. Pax Americana has caused many hard feelings threw out Europe. The Main problems is the idea that Europe has out grown the single country and has become an area, liken to the country that the American South wanted to build in America, that of strong states rights and a very weak central government. Added to this you have a few states/countries that are not willing to share the real power with other countries, France and Germany plus and always Russia.
The United States of America and in many ways the American people are tired of spending billions in Europe and having our military in nations that in fact and actions do not want the US in country. The question then arises is NATO's time at an end. Should the nations of Europe have to spend ten percent of their GNP on defense and will the real outcome be aggression with in Europe or perhaps against the Balkin nations. Can Europe stand against Russia, the Arab world, over population and a failing world economy alone?
I think that Europe, to regain the wonders of the past will decide to expand their model of a world currency and a central bank. The problems I see is Europe is already a second rate industral power and has allowed China into their markets. The threat of the future is China and its industrialization, its numbers of people, its need for fuel and its location.
The Great Kahn was into Poland. China needs land, minerals and oil/gas. Russia is weak, underpopulated and not able to defend against a country that will use the same devices against them if a convential war goes to the bomb stage. The Arabs need money, they have one way to keep the cash coming in. Is Europe ready to go into the Arab lands and take the oil they need. Russia has shown it will cut off fuel to Europe to gain the political and economic power it wants, will the new military in Europe be ready, with out the industrail strength of the US to fight a land war with Russia?
Each of these is a possible bleak future. However, already I see the leaders of Europe, Russia, China and the Arab leaders setting up a stage where any may or will happen.
Pax American is for the time being slowly ending. This leaves a hole in defense and economies that can not be filled by printing money. The option is building factories, putting the people to work and limiting the number of people in the work force by having a few million in the military.
Europe is a very small area. China, Russia, even the Arabs have more people and money. But the beleif of the Greatness of the past will cause the call to arms to again cry over this very bloody area of the world.
Is Obama drifting? 4:06pm on 13 Mar 2009 The Oman is adrift in a sea of complex issues, this means he is finding out that Washington is concerned with its own values and protecting those who support the elected officials, not the voters, moreso then the American nation. He is finding out that money is not the answer to this problem, that economic theories are as full of hot air as the next persons opinion and that his ideals are not real.
The Oman rose on the simple idea that he and the young could change this nation. He was supported by the many and now the many want something he can't give simply because the real powers in Washington, rairly the elected officials see the money as a way to protect their interests.
A few suggestions; investors decide they have excess cash to make money with. Some go to cock fights, some buy into banks, each knows that they could loose the principal they invest and take that chance. Now they have to decide weather to put more of their money in or pull out. Not the American government spending money to safe guard this investment! Investments go bad. If you want safety buy Government bonds!
There has been talk of the billions lost in the stock market and bank stocks. If, and I will bet there are a few smart investors that pulled their cash out six weeks ago, then you made money. If when it started to fall you did not you lost money. You were not complaining when it went up, now! why should you demand the government save you?
This problem, the actual foundation of this whole house of cards is because the real income of the American worker has been held down by the government. Inflation has been rampant in fuel, housing, insurance, power and creditcards/banking for thirty years with ten to fifteen percent rate increases yearly. Wages, bottom level and up to middle class have not run a third nor a quarter of this amount. Here is the real reason for this crash.
Mr. President, your job bills is great, every administration for thirty years has ignored the need to build America. Infact they have spent billions to build up other countries instead of America. I demand that you, set aside twenty billion for rebuilding manufactoring in the US that has been shipped to other countries. That means rebuilding manufactoring using the best equipment available and training the American workers to use it. Next I suugest, no demand you set up three billion for small inventors to use. Five thousand on an idea, twenty five thousand if they have plans to build a new idea or invention. We need the jobs of tomorrow given the chance to be developed today. Finally I would like to see the national guard set so they will not be deployed and any one with a college degree can join. With joining they will have month for month of any college loans paid by the federal government over and above the pay for serving their country.
I am willing to talk to anyone about these ideas because the future of America, I beleive, will come from Americans! not out of Washington. We the people will be the ones that make our future happen.
Young Europeans quiz Clinton 4:21pm on 07 Mar 2009 Hillary is a card carring world government politician. She wants one government, one currency, one political leadership, her and the husband lead by the greaest consortium of business leaders in the world.
She has worked for this idea trying to destroy American manufactoring and driving the economy of the USA into the ground threw the miss understood idea that if we become poor the rest of the world will grow. She is one reason the world, banks, and you are where we are today.
Her boss beleives this too.
The simple facts, as I see them are, if we continue under this idea we will see a world that will make Germany of 1940 look like a happly land.
I for one hope you will demand that you keep your national idenity. You demand your politicians understand they are to work for you, not the world organization of one world government and you will not be the followers who put your family under the boot heels of the one world military machine that can and will determine how you work and what is produced in your on your lands.
Strong words? Yes. But having a bit of history I know that if we have one government for this world, one agency for information, one department to agree on production, you will become a throw away part of a very large machine.
The sorry aspect is 90% of people will accept this slavery.

Being one who has heard a bit on teck ideas would this not allow the government to know threw video, voice or picture, DNA? who are the radical elements and where they are at?
Far be it from me to even suggest that European governments in a time of social, economic and political problems would use this to safeguard their postion from the dirty mass of unknowing people they rule.
Sixty years of progress. Sixty years of little military need by each nation. Sixty years of billions of American dollars poured into the economies of Europe. Now when times are going to get every bad the money tree is shutting down. Europe will need a military against the great Bear in the north and at the same time the factories will shut down so you have real Europeans vs those just here for two or three generations.
Yes this is a great idea. Allow the people a voice! You the people watch what you say because those in government do not trust you. At least in France they have a history of cutting the heads off of government.
Brown's free trade message 02:31am on 07 Mar 2009 Free trade has an ideal that equal trade between partners is the goal. This is the greatest laugh in the world. Free trade by the US government and the corporations mean larger profits useing American tax dollars and being paid for with American consummer dollars. This lie needed one key item to make it work, American consummers making enough money to pay the bill. Mr. Clintons idea that America would be a knowlege/idea industry failed. America became a consummer state and not and industrial one. We no longer added value to the products we sold and were not allowed to use the energy we have at home so the balance of wealth flowing out finally killed the golden goose.
Simply put your politicians and business leaders have tried to destroy this nation. What happened is we are down while the rest of the world is flat on its back!
HereMr. President is what is needed! Allow the falure of the banks and insurance companies. Control the oil and power companies while allowing the car companies to reset under federal wage and directions guidelines. Set up electrical transportation ising the rail lines to cut by one half the need to drive on the coasts. All new semi tractors have to be gas/electric with twenty miles per gallon of fuel usage. Allow/finance competions for electrical vehicals that will be built and used. Start the greatest space race you have ever seen. A space staion by 2010, moon city by 2011 and deep space travel by 2012. Rebuild the roads but also rebuild the military equipment we will need in 2014 to protect our selves from war. More importantly call for real ideas from the people of America instead of useing the ideas that have lead the US into this dangerous place. You may wqant to rethink the education of the people who now serve you. After all if they have been educated in the same schools that have produced the thinking that lead this nation to the edge of a depression they may not have one new idea to get us out.
Brown's free trade message 7:48pm on 04 Mar 2009 Trade with out borders? Countries with out borders? One currency used by all with a fixed value! Products made at lowest cost sold to the richer nations. The world freed because every one is working. All of these are pipe dreams.
The fact is for the poor nations to produce and sell they need a rich nation to invest in them, train the people and have a market to sell too. That market has to have income above and beyound the costs of living in that nation or continent.
In the USA, over the past forty years, we have seen home values increase ten to eighteen percent a year, education costs up eight to fifteen percent, fuel fluxuate from $4.50 a gallon to a $1.00 a gallon, insurance both medical and auto gain ten percent a year, electrical rip offs that saw $1,800 a month home bills and factories shutting down bewcause they could make a better/richer profit from selling their power back to the companies, dot com rip offs, banks that never invested a dime and government of both parties with the full idea that as long as the big players paid on time they would look away.
On the cash side we saw from .o8% gain in income to 3.8% gain.
Now, somehow the card pile has toppled because the people at the bottom had to buy food or pay the mortgage payment.
You wonder what happened? It is easy to say. If the people the world needed to consum are not given income to match the inflation in their country, at some time they will have to buy at Wal-Mart and miss mortage payments.
Jobs in America. Jobs that equal the costs in America. If America had those this bubble would not have burst.
Give me three years and I will put America back to work, making money and growing.
The programs now in place will not work. What is needed is a dream and production. In the past Wars have been used, today, the Stars are with in our grasp. Give me three years and America will be booming, with that the rest of the world will start to grow again too.
EU 'big' brought to heel 05:35am on 04 Mar 2009 I am having a hard time understanding the idea of protectionism. I suggest if Americans stated they could build what was to be used in America here, built by Americans and have any item made from Europe to China cost the same as the American product you may think that is protecting the American market. I on the other hand feel it is time to invest in America, as Germany or France may like to invest in their counties, to put my people to work doing the jobs we shipped around the world.
The world needs America to buy, Americans need good jobs to purchase items, what this down turn, this ripping off the mask of international banking, oil and medical greed will do is rebuild America. After all unless we are strong at home, we can't again save Europe when the cold winds of war again raise their ugly head. So think of it not as protectionism but as a return to America the manufactoring we need in America.
