Nick Griffin on Question Time 09:14am on 23 Oct 2009 I thought Warsi came across well last night but Jack 'man of straw' Straw looked pretty daft. Nick Griffin was all shaking and sweaty. He was relentlessly attacked by an un-representative BBC audience; ultimately time will tell whether this has helped the BNP's standing across the country.

Frankly this is just a massive distraction and allows the mainstream politicians to collectively hand-wring and win easy points from the electorate.
Tories' open talk of Afghan elections 11:57am on 09 Sep 2009 I do understand people's concerns about the troops in Afghanistan being killed - it is sad when it happens for all concernes. However, these are professional soldiers who sign-up in the full knowledge that this may happen to them.

Surely the point is that we do need to be there to take on the millitants and take the heat off the real issue - Pakistan.

If US/UK/NATO leave with with our tail between our legs a huge area of Central Asia would fall to extremists. If they are to get hold of the nuclear buttons in Pakistan then we really are all in the doo-doo. Are we just going to leave the Americans to get on with this alone or are we going to stand with them?

What needs to happen in my eye is that some of our 'allies' in NATO; the French, Germans, Italians need to grow a pair and get their sleeves rolled up.

And if the Tories believe the election was rigged, fair play to them for speaking up - kind of...
