What did you think of The One Show? Guests: Cliff and the Shadows 8:31pm on 30 Nov 2009 Found Cliff a bit easier to watch than normal this evening. Didn't hang around for the 'performance'. Re 12 - 'look at...': mercy please! I caught a minute of The X Factor this year one night when someone or other was murdering a Journey classic.

Re 13: Only cought a quick glimpse of the parking formula but it seemed to be somehow depleted... would have liked a bit more maths in the discussion. Re parking without PAS... how to ruin your arms never mind the tyres.

Re 2: check out the youtube footage of women trying to park cars - comedy classics.

BTW, Christine was a guest on the BBC1 NI Friday Night programme last week called, er, The Friday Show (it's on iplayer). It was not enlighening with regard to The One Show, containing as it did the 'revleation' that she knocks on Adrian's door before the show and then he slaps her on the leg immediately before they go live (during the title music), based on Adrian's superstition, apparently...

Agree with this... but I'm not cherring for them either.

Re 74: impressed with your stats for this week. Would be interesting to see the findings (any volunteers?) after a month.
What did you think of The One Show? Guest: Michael McIntyre 8:29pm on 27 Nov 2009 Decent show this evening - didn't drag like most of the Friday 'one-hourers'.

Earlier this week on the blog there were complaints about the pronunciation of Cockermouth (Cocker-Mouth - instead of Cocker-M'th as in Bournemouth). However, this evening two locals (councillor man and vicar woman) both pronounced it Cocker-Mouth.

Re 19/20: death trap indeed. Also re above electric car doing 65 mph... hardly 130 mph... and more to the point, won't exactly do a 0-60 time in single figures. The only thing the guy in the piece was able to say in defence of the electric car was re parking in Westminster. Enough said.

Re 15 etc: Was I watching a different programme? Don't understand the comments. Adrian was (more than) complimentary to Delia when he said that (1) she should have been made a dame and (2) the CBE was richly deserved. Am I missing something? And the strange look on her face was before he said anything and wen she was preparing to speak for the first time; she was fine with his remarks.

Re 54-56: it WAS a bloke who made the comment re the winter & summer rainfall during the last 40 years... not Carol!!

Never actually bought any individual Athena prints but have good examples of airbrushed art contained within excellent voumes of fantasy art bought many years ago... must get 'em out again.

Guest: Will Young 8:16pm on 23 Nov 2009 Re 12 & 15: don't worry - it's just the new blogggers having their posts moderated before they go on the site (this happened to mine & others one night last week when this feature started and it did it with established bloggers at that time also).

On 3 Feb this year the main thread finished with a total of 230 posts, and the 'ashamed to talk about god' side thread on the same evening received 589 posts. (That might make me sound very sad to be quoting those facts but I always remember that night's blog for having such a large number of posts and also as I actively contributed to it, so I checked those figures just now).

And yes, I am also loving peanut butter... off shortly to have an extra large helping & will no doubt be blogging into the small hours telling everyone how good it was...

I was astonished to see a post by the editor of the website; in fact, I had to click on your name to see if you were real; then I did see your previous comments. However, throughout my tenure as a blogger you have only submitted one comment (in March this year) previous to today, which I may have missed at the time as I don't recall it.

It's great to receive some feedback from someone such as yourself. I look forward to more postings from the 'other side'.
