Guest: Michelle Collins 7:24pm on 20 Jul 2009 Worthy piece on mental health issues but as usual you treated it as tho what was said applied to the whole uk not just englandshire - there are different laws / regs applying to this subject in the other 3 parts of the uk you ignored as usual - is the situation the same, better, worse, different in those parts?

Guest: Griff Rhys Jones 7:45pm on 07 Jul 2009 Missed some of the show inc the start of the litter item - don't suppose, when someone mentioned local councils 'throughout the country' that anyone checked out the differences in the litter laws under scots law and n ireland law and the fact that the 'councils' referred to were the englandshire ones only??
Still on a scotland/england theme - does no-one ever ask why the sacred 3 lions of cricket and footie fame are wearing SCOTLAND colours?? Why is englandshire so ashamed of red for god's sake that they have to pinch the dark blue of scotland from the union jack which is the BRITISH flag, not the english one?! The england cricket team looks more like the scotland team in their dark blue - so much so that the scotland cricket team have had to change to a different shade of blue to distinguish them from the englandshire team!!
Even when wearing white, the englandshire side will be wearing scotland dark blue hats! Why are you so ashamed of red - too gaudy for you?
Why SPOTY is moving to Sheffield 8:43pm on 04 May 2009 Surely the woman ref on the snooker final isn't the best in the world? She's there becos she's a woman in a man's world. One of your captions describes a Dutchman as the top snooker ref - why isn't he reffing the final? This business of having TOKEN females in macho sports (female rugby presenters etc) isn't equality it's absurdity and an insult to women and to men as it suggests there isn't a man good enough to do the job!!!
Incidentally the woman snooker ref missed a couple of push-shots at the start of the final as you would have noticed!!

Didn't see all your piece about empty houses but the Agency looking at this covers englandshire only not the uk so as usual we got an england equals britain approach - the land registry covers englandshire only (and prob wales - don't know why they bother with a welsh assembly) not britain - the 'local councils' are english ones - scotland, n ireland and even wales on this occasion have separate local gov set-ups so different laws apply probably compared to englandshire - does your lawyer never check things out? Altho noticed you managed to get the water meter thingy right re scotland / england!!
Expenses exposed 8:35pm on 23 Mar 2009 Why is there never any comment on the iniquitous expenses racket whereby MPs get their mortgage paid for by the dopes (the taxpayers) on their londonshire home but when they sell the property they pocket the profit themselves - it doesn't go to the taxpayers!! Or is it just Edinburgh this applies to and MSPs?? That's presumably why there's never any word about it in londonshire.

Car-napped! Singer's car gets towed away 7:44pm on 02 Mar 2009 Don't you listen to anything? As previously advised, private clamping is ILLEGAL in scotland and this wouldn't happen there!! Clamping is damage, removing the car is theft and demanding money to get it back is extortion!!
Why doesn't your (english) legal adviser know this and get you to do a piece on why the law can't be changed in englandshire??
What did you think of the show? (25/02/09) 8:21pm on 25 Feb 2009 Could someone tell snow that the magna carta didn't apply to 'britain' which didn't exist then. It applied to englandshire only. Scotland had its own more enlightened monarchs!!
Bailiffs - more information 7:29pm on 06 Feb 2009 3 is quite right but this happens all the time that scotland and n ireland get ignored (and even wales re such things as education - don't know why they bother with a Welsh assembly, they get lumped in with englandshire for just about everything). I didn't see all of this item but the woman giving legal advice seemed to be talking about english law only not scots law or the law in n ireland. This is irresponsible as the law in the 'Other Bits' can be completely different from englandshire. There are no 'bailliffs' in scotland - they have sheriff officers. Also squatting has always been illegal in scotland and doesn't happen. Presumably the lady is legally qualified (england version) but someone in her position should be very careful that she gives proper legal advice to ALL parts of the uk.
