Football League ready to roll 4:14pm on 06 Aug 2009 i think its great how everyone writes of scunny utd already!! we have a great squad and a terrific support home and away!!! i'd like to think with the squad they have of young, talented and very hungry footballers that they could at least keep their championship status if not reach mid table!! c'mon the IRON!!
A nation holds its breath for Flintoff 12:21pm on 04 Jul 2009 I think freddie just being in the squad is a massive lift for England! His pure statue and pride for his country is enough to drive a team forward at times. The aussies wont want to face him as they know a fully fit and firing flintoff is something of a danger.

Altho Freddie doesnt have the greatest stats at test level he is the player that shines at that crucial moment by either hitting a few big 6's to push the game along or by producing a magical over and taking wickets!

I think any England team with a fit Flintoff is a better team than without a flintoff!
Vaughan leaves lasting legacy 3:40pm on 30 Jun 2009 I fell sad knowing that for many MV will be remembered for his post 2005 era when injury and lack of form hampered him.

But for me MV will always be remembered for his fantastic driving and his ability to turn a young cricketer into a formidable opponent ie pieterson, jones! I think alot of captains could learn from MV's approach to his players and giving them the freedom to do what they do best!
Ashraful stays strangely silent 8:21pm on 01 Jun 2009 I think Ashraful not speaking is a way of gaining abit of attention for bangladesh but not doing it in the way that others choose. i.e. saying we can beat so and so and we can suprise so and so. I think it's a clever tactic off the pitch and if he's as clever on the field bangladesh might just suprise a few teams. Maybe this is what he intended??

Bitter recriminations at the Bridge 10:14am on 07 May 2009 I believe Chelsea were unfortunate but their behaviour is disgracful!!

We have seen on many occasions, not just in the champions league, that chelsea cant not control their players. The ref had a poor game but he's human and everyone has a bad day! I believe Drgoba should be heavily punished because people can't keep using adrenaline as an excuse for his appauling behaviour. I believe that Drogba is someone who should take along look in the mirror and he would see that what comes around goes around. I say this because i watched the Liverpool - Chelsea game and i remember an incident where Liverpool had robbed drogba of the ball and he went down on the side of the pitch and as liverpool got closer to the chelsea area he rolled himself back onto the pitch to stop play!

I believe fining chelsea and its players is pointless and banning players or docking points would be a much better option. We would see then who is wanting to start swearing when you get 5 point deductions at the start of the champions league!!

As of drgoba himself, hes an over-paided cry-baby! He gets paid £100,000 + a week to roll around on the grass. There are much better players out there on far less who would give there right leg to be where drogba is. Also are thees the right images to be shown to the next generation?? I think not!!

Ashes preparation starts here 3:50pm on 05 May 2009 I believe if Bopara steps in nand does well in the number 3 slot the batting takes care of itself , Strauss, Cook, Bopara, KP, Collingwood. As to the wicketkeeper/flintoff arguement i believe Prior should be given a bit more praise because at times he has showed that he has ability behind the stumps and we must remember he is only human so is inclined to make mistakes! I'm undecided to weather flintoff should still be in the squad or not. I could see a bowling attack consisting of Anderson, Broad, Sidebottom, Swann, but would you have flintoff in there or would you maybe add in Rashid (gives you 2 spinners both of who can bat and lets face it Rashid has got to worth ago) or maybe add in Onions or what about giving Woakes his chance? He is looking awfully good at the moment!!
