Newsnight & Newsnight Review: Friday, 24 April, 2009 11:00pm on 24 Apr 2009 Over the past 15 years our Foundation has been advising government that they require a ‘totally independent’ national advisory body to determine value-for-money for the nation. This is far more prevalent today with the immense financial problems that we now all face and where it will not be until 2032 according to leading economists that Britain will stabilise its national debt again. This is not another ‘quango’ set up by the establishment, but a national resource for the people, saving vast amounts of waste and tens of billions of taxpayer’s funds annually. In this respect government quangos listen too much to the rich and powerful and where decisions are biased towards this vast lobby group. As a recent example, the NHS waste on Tamiflu et al which Vietnamese doctors told the world two-years ago that it was ‘useless’ to combat ‘Bird-Flu’. Now, US doctors have stated the same and cited this fact in USA Today some two weeks ago. But, our government has invested up to £500 million in this useless drug that will now secretly be dispatched to the waste incinerators of Britain (thus causing even energy to be spent to remove it and literally burn £½ billion up in smoke of Britain’s hard earned cash). This wasted national wealth list over the years is unfortunately for the taxpayer endless, and where a supranational ‘independent’ watchdog body is the only way forward. In this respect a vital necessity. Otherwise government will continue to spend recklessly and throw away literally hundreds of billions of pounds needlessly over the coming years. Indeed, conversely, we now need these precious funds provided by the taxpayer for the good of the people and the country; for our very existence in the long-term depends upon using them wisely. Massive change has to come quickly and to stop all this terrible waste !

They were in 'Cabinet' working for the bankers.
FSA admits huge mistakes 10:19pm on 25 Feb 2009 Both the solutions and the reasons why we are in this fine mess is because we do not go any further than the perceived wisdom that got us all into these disastrous affairs. In this respect we try to fix the problem by going back every time to the very people who actually got us into this whole debacle in the first place. Even Einstein said in as many words that we couldn’t solve our problems by the very means that caused our dilemma. Therefore why is it that the Media are not brought into the blame game as well as they are still even today, after all has been laid bare, pandering completely to the ill-informed wisdom of those who were and still are the culprits of this whole financial and economic disaster.

This thinking of going back to those every time who have brought the world to its knees (which will happen over the next two years I am sure) is complete madness. Indeed, what is really required is new innovative thinking and outside the 'box'. In this respect, it is a well documented situation in the history of science and technology that main stream thinking was never the reason why major technological breakthroughs happened. In this respect it has been estimated that 75% of all the inventions that have made the modern world what is it is today emanated outside advanced thinkers and from the minds of independent inventors. The TV (Baird, an amateur radio ham), Jet Engine Whittle an RAF officer), the chip (KIlby had a personal private interest not ordered by the company to invent the chip as they were totally involved with tube/valve making - now the basis and driving a $1.5 trillion global annual industry), the car (Daimler a mechanic), the airplane (Wright Bros. who were mechanics), email(Tomlinson invented it for himself not the company) , WWW(Tim Berners-Lee's thinking not CERNs'), etc, etc are examples of a non-ending list.

Therefore the media has to start being innovative and not be just stuck in the mud with the old guard that has got us all into this 'mother' of all messes.
The sooner they grasp this and let independent thinkers put their views across the sooner we shall solve the present situation. Is the media listening, I wonder? Probably not and where they will perpetuate the whole situation by not doing so.

Therefore the villains in this whole affair are,
1. Politicians
2. The Bankers
3. The Media

and in that order, and why, the G20 Summit in April 09 will fail also.

Fred Goodwin to receive £650,000 for life 10:16pm on 25 Feb 2009 Great, lets all bring the country to its knees and retire on £10,000 a week plus. It makes you sick and where this time the bankers have to be sorted out. Absolutely disgusting considering the knock-on effect of this man's part in the huge UK job losses and the lives of tens of thousands destroyed through shares becoming more or less worthless. The man should have been be given the boot and asked to pay back losses to the taxpayer. What are these politicians all about also. It appears to me that they too live on planet zooto by allowing this, even though it was a preordained fix behind closed doors. Did the shareholders sanction this has to be the question. I very much doubt it !
Bankers and responsibility 4:19pm on 30 Jan 2009 Bankers have to be made to pay and be seen to pay

It is now fully apparent that the last ten years has been a complete economic delusion and where smoke screens were the only thing stopping the people seeing between reality and a horrendous financial state-of-affairs. Indeed greed and the personal wealth of the bankers have destroyed the lives and fortunes of many and where most of humanity has and will suffer on an unprecedented scale. US President Barack Obama comes out with fine words when we hear that $18.4 billion dollars were paid in only 2008 to Wall-Street alone for bonuses, but where these funds in reality should be totally reclaimed for the devastating effect that these people have reeked upon all nations globally and where this is still continuing. Indeed, legislation in all countries should be implemented immediately to claw back these immoral bonuses and earnings that have been paid to the few over the last ten years and which has directly plunged the world into several decades of extreme hardship and unparalleled debt.
Politicians have therefore a duty to do this but where if they do not they too are culpable in a system that has literally brought the world to its very knees. In this respect the people have to come first and not the bankers who have been rewarded beyond any normal persons wildest dreams and where this has been at the people’s total demise and their expense. Common decency has to paramountly prevail above all else if we are not to descend into total depravity over time.
