Benitez and O'Neill on the offensive 10:11am on 25 Aug 2009 One thing that really annoys me is when referees play more stoppage time than they have decided to add on, because one team in on the attack. One added minute at the end of the first half yet Villa were allowed to take a corner in the 47th minute (and this led to their second goal).

It's completely unfair. And before people criticize this post, I'm not just whining on because it happened against my team. It's a feature of incompetent Martin Atkinson's game. I remember last season Everton Vs Villa, Everton fought back courageously to grab a late equaliser in injury time and Atkinson played a couple of extra minutes (way more than he should have done) which allowed Villa to score a third goal and win 3-2.

Really enjoyed watching Ferguson Biting his lip and fuming with rage..probably because the dodgy refereeing decision ManU normally take for granted never arrived.

But in answer to the question about why fans of all clubs and all ages despise them I think that has something to do with the unjustified media coverage they received even when they were wallowing in lower divisions.

Also, ManU fans talk about supporting the biggest club in the world. Is that based on revenue or their importance in the stock market, or perhaps the number of foreign supporters? Because Liverpool are the most successful English team in the world and therefore the biggest in terms of footballing success (which is what really matters surely).
