RBS board to quit if chancellor vetoes £1.5bn in bonuses 08:25am on 03 Dec 2009 The sooner they leave the better, do they not realise that no one really cares about their greed any longer, by issuing this kind of statement they are just making things worse for themselves and showing they are actually greedy,
Barclays: Even the bad times are good 09:21am on 03 Aug 2009 Lets think about this bumper profit, if the banks, Barclays included think that this country is out of the woods yet, then they are living in cloud cookoo land, The UK has a massive debt to repay and the only way it will be able to repay it is by charging the COMPANIES, BANKS AND WORKERS more in tax, as soon as this starts and the taxes start to rise, i believe we will see not only a return to the worst Recesion since 1920, but even further into recesion this country will slide, until this debt is repaid there is no chance for this country, At some point these giant companies will have to pay back what they have taken for so long,
Osborne and a corporate tax revolution 10:46am on 10 Jun 2009 I dont veiw this as a stealth tax, it is about time that the ammount of interest claimed is reduced to stop debt laden companies passing themselves off as business models,
If you cannot afford to run the business then it should not be running,
Clawing back Sir Fred's pension 6:40pm on 03 Mar 2009 This is easy, now lets say the goverment was to let the RBS go under, then there is nothing to pay Fred with as the company is bust, start it up again under a different goverment banner and hey presto, sir fred has no pension and we have a lot less to talk about,
i am sure the goverment could really do something about it but they dont want to, but thye dont want to because he problaby has something to do with their pensions!!!!
RBS: big losses, big bailout 08:23am on 26 Feb 2009 Well it was all expected. we knew what was coming,
I fail to understand what RBS was doing when they were supposed to be Banking.....it certainly was not looking after our money nor our shares, and because they chose to get themselves into this much trouble we the taxpayers have to bail them out, we should have let them go bankrupt, then allowed another company to come in and purchase there assets at a knock down price and take them over, pay off 100000 staff and restart the RBS as a BANK, instead of the disgraceful sham it is today.

Does Gordon Brown not realise that by ignoring the public he is going to lose at the next election, now if Gordon was to get a hard line and go after these "robbers" his popularity would be boosted and his chance of getting labour another term would be greatly increased,
But i forgot, the goverment dont listen, if they did then we would never be in this mess! and we would not be heading for the poorest country in the world award 2009.
Enjoy your last days in office Gordon, i for one dont think you will be there again,
FSA admits huge mistakes 6:28pm on 25 Feb 2009 BLAH BALH BLAH the usual we were not to blame, we did nothing but award ourselves bonuses for not doing anything,

Guess what! i reckon the UK public know what oyu didi last summer and the summer before, and for that fact all the winters also, and everyone connected with the banking problems should be sacked and investigated by the police not given bonuses and be given a chance to say "we did nothing wrong".
Bankers your time has come, and i doubt the UK or the world will ever trust you again!
Daniels sacrifices bonus 08:23am on 11 Feb 2009 This is simple, let them have their bonuses, but remove the public funding, by say 10 percent for every bonus paid, lets see how many more bonuses are paid.
What the bankers did was very close to being criminal but i bet they dont get jailed for it.
Theusual UK politics, one rule for them another for us.
When are the UK public going to stand up and be counted, lets sort these robbers out and the rest of them whilst we are at it and turn the Uk into a Great Country again.
Docking bankers' pay 6:22pm on 08 Feb 2009 It will make no difference what labour do now to appease the electrol, the conservatives are in at the next election anyway, i just hope they have the guts to come out and tell us exactly what they think of the bankers and financial "gods" that have destroyed this country,
I for one will not keep much money in the bank now, even though they are underwritten, i think it is only a matter of time until this country goes bust.
Should Lloyds pay a bonus? 09:26am on 08 Feb 2009 They deserve only to be sacked and replaced by decent hard working people who will run the banks for the good of the country, not for their own personal gains.

There is not a single bank executive that deserves a bonus, they did a rubbish job of running a very important part of the national infrastructure of the UK and we would be better of without them,
I am pretty sure there are plenty of people out there who would take their jobs on for a lot less wages and do it a lot better.

REMEMBER NO ONE IS INDISPENSABLE!!!!
