what's become of the blogosphere? 8:24pm on 16 Aug 2009 I'd agree having previously written a blog, but moved over to using facebook updates instead, because 200 character or so status updates are quicker and easier to write than blog posts (which should be longer - finely crafted anecdotes), and I was already connected to everyone I wanted to reach on Facebook, who would be instantly notified whenever I posted.

It's the club's board who have ultimate responsibility for this mess. Until they are removed the situation will just get worse.

The dangers of the transfer window 4:38pm on 05 May 2009 Non-league clubs often buy throughout the season. This can prove to be a disaster when you have about 50 different players over a season. That is why I think a window is probably best. Also all the transfers in the window have to be monitored and think of the work that would have to be done over the full season to do this. There would be far more transfers if there was no window. Is this always the best thing?

p.s. Can't wait for the next window!

Popular Horsfield faces his most difficult opponent 2:03pm on 26 Apr 2009 So sorry to hear this news. Why does this kind of thing always seem to happen to the really good guys as opposed to those who frankly are more deserving?

If Geoff is to be described as "legendary" then no place is such a description more fitting than at Halifax Town. In their championship season from the Conference, Geoff the Horse put the whole team on his back and rode them to the title.

Like another Shaymen fan contributor, I too had hoped that we might see Geoff back down the Shay to finish his career. Well perhaps the chances of that have just improved because, when, like Lance Armstrong, he beats this thing where better to start over?

Hang in there Geoff, we're all praying for you.

Hiddink holds his nerve 2:00pm on 26 Apr 2009 i'm proud of my team. we have lost the match with our heads held high. chelsea were favourite to go through even before the game. the result proved why every team was trying to avoid liverpool when champions league draw for quarter final was made. But one thing is that i still couldn't believe how Reina conceded 4 goals.
Harris set to become the Lions king 1:58pm on 26 Apr 2009 A player I've always liked. I regard him as highly as Geoff Horsfield who was another great striker to overcome cancer and still play on. Two players who are a credit to football and as said before it is a rarity in the modern game. Think he could have broken the record years ago if not for the problems he suffered. Deserves to break the record and best of luck for the season.

Blogger-In-Residence: "Common Platform" & an Open BBC 10:51pm on 09 Jan 2009 I just came about this post by random. On the internet that are a lot of posts about how the BBC are biased. To be honest I don't agree with them and I think corporations like these are just easy targets.
