Obama's Afghanistan strategy 9:15pm on 12 Aug 2009 The Taleban aren't stupid enough to engage our forces properly. They know they won't win. They'll just melt away into Pakistan and bide their time until we go. And when will that be? If we're waiting for some form of guarantee that whatever 'democratically elected' government we leave in either country will remain there for longer than a week after the forces leave, then I'm afraid we are going to be waiting for a very long time.

BBC iPlayer subtitles increase: our early Christmas present to hard of hearing people 8:47pm on 09 Apr 2009 I love the Iplayer subtitles because I have a really old rubbish computer in work that doesnt have any sound... And this way I can pass the 12 hour nightshifts no problem, any hey, you can even go back to watch it from where you fell asleep hehe.

Grammar test 01:01am on 28 Mar 2009 I think the age of texting and mobile phones is going to be the great demise of the english language and grammar.
It's bad enough already but in a couple of years the english language will only be a secondary language to text speak.

Changing attitudes? 10:09pm on 26 Mar 2009 I dont know how anyone could consider terminating just because there is a chance of downs syndrome. My nephew has downs syndrome and he is just the happiest person you would ever meet. Ok i suppose it mihgt be hard to come to terms with, and i suppose the decision is with the parents, but it's no wonder the termination rates are going down as it really is more widely accepted now i think.

News on the go 8:10pm on 17 Mar 2009 Apart from the 6 oclock news which i watch most days, its 50/50 my mobile and the internet.
With the unlimited surfing on the mobile contracts for £5 ive been spending more and more time surfing on my mobile.

Broadcasting live 04:49am on 04 Mar 2009 probably around 50% of the time these live feeds... they either can't be heard right, or cant hear the response from the studio.
Either way, it doesnt really make for the best reporting. Yeah, as stated, some times wehn it cant be helped, it does add a certain element of urgency,but it sohould definitely be left for cases when it cant be helped.
