Your classic F1 season finale 10:50am on 28 Oct 2009 In a word: Brilliant.

This series has been awesome from start to finish, and I'm thrilled to have it back for another season. 1991 was a classic season and a gap to be filled!

Thanks for giving us two highlights in full to finish the year. You've worked very hard on this, and we're all very grateful indeed.
Pick your classic F1 season finale 12:13pm on 22 Oct 2009 2008 Brazil and 1986 Australia (and to pre-empt others, 1994 Australia) were already featured in the Brazil and Australia votes respectively.

In 1988 Senna's drive was legendary, but I'm voting tactically for 1980 Watkins Glen. A truly brilliant track and it sounds like a truly brilliant race.

I urge all posters beyond me to use their votes wisely. Based on the early voting we could get both 88 Japan and 80 Watkins Glen in full highlights!

I am eternally grateful to the BBC for this feature. We've seen a great mix this season. This level of archive footage is unprecedented in the UK.

That said, I'm slightly disappointed this week that both 1993 and 1982 weren't taken this week given how tight the vote was.
Pick your classic Brazilian Grand Prix 1:03pm on 07 Oct 2009 I believe you've missed out some hidden gems in the 80s there, Andrew. Although 89 is always remembered for Mansell's pass, but there are some other thrilling races from that decade to look into for next year.

I'm voting for 1993, with the huge deluge creating absolute mayhem towards the end. Once the track had dried, Herbert versus Schumacher was a great spectacle.
Your classic grand prix 00:54am on 24 Sep 2009 I've watched a lot of Grands Prix, but was absolutely stunned by Mexico 1990. It says a lot about the readers of this blog that this won the vote, because it was absolutely the right choice.

From a technical perspective going live for those final laps was nothing short of inspired. Viewers in 1990 had a real treat there.

The choice for Japan is a challenging one. In an ideal world I would vote collectively for 76, 89 and 94. However, given that I've only got 1 vote it will go to the classic title decider of 1989.
Pick your classic grand prix 3:45pm on 17 Sep 2009 A great selection Andrew. It gave me a grin when I saw two of my selections from our last discussion make the shortlist.

I'm going with 84 Dallas, this is a race people really do forget, but an absolute gem.

To follow up Flukielucas' early post - this is an important technical point to raise to you, Andrew. The BBCi team made a mistake in Hungary. They broadcast the 1989 Italian Grand Prix in the wrong field order. For digital displays on digital connections this made the first run of the highlights unwatchable.

As a quick fix, they simply deinterlaced everything after the first run, more popularly termed as 'filmising'. It unfortunately degraded the quality and motion.

This field order issue has infrequently occurred this year on these classic highlights, although beforehand it i has only affected some of the shorter clips.

Hopefully this is a one off. It is important that care is taken to get this right, please communicate it to your BBCi colleagues.

Yes, it's an anorak technical point which many people will not care about. But ultimately this whole service is for us anoraks isn't it?
Your classic Italian Grand Prix 9:11pm on 09 Sep 2009 Here's my shortlist of races which should be offered for Singapore:

1979 Dijon - Villeneuve vs Arnoux during the last 3 laps. One of the best battles in motorsport history.

1983 Long Beach - A final outing for what Clive James calls 'All the thrills of Monaco without the close proximity of France'. John Watson repeated what he did in Detroit a year before by winning from the back. Spectacular.

1985 Portugal - In appalling conditions Ayrton Senna takes his first F1 win.

1990 Mexico - Mansell and Berger are locked in an epic battle for 2nd, which goes right down to the final turn...

1993 South Africa - One of the most underrated F1 races in history. Watch Prost, Senna and Schumacher - with 14 world titles between them - absolutely slug it out for lap after lap. Then it rains at the end. Simply brilliant.

Which would I vote for? 1979 Dijon every single time.
Pick your classic Italian Grand Prix 11:11pm on 03 Sep 2009 I'll vote 1995. Simply to try and keep it even between this and 1988, hopefully we can get both shown in full!

For next year, I'd like to see 1991 offered. Senna and Mansell went wheel to wheel again, well worth a watch.
Pick your classic Belgian Grand Prix 11:43pm on 20 Aug 2009 Another vote for 1995 here. A race which truly had everything, including absolutely classic racing between Hill and Schumacher, but watch out for the BBC's very own Martin Brundle becoming critical at the end!
Your classic European Grand Prix 6:59pm on 17 Aug 2009 10/10 for content on that post, Andrew. 0/10 for telling us where and when it will be on television!
