Who'd make your Ashes starting XI? 09:30am on 23 Dec 2008 I believe that the reason England beat Australia in 2005 was exclusively down to their unrelenting bowling attack with Hoggard's swing and the 90 mph pace of Jones, Harmison and Flintoff. It was the closest any team has come to replicating the West Indies bowling attacks of the 70s and 80s. Not sure of Simon Jones' fitness, so wouldn't include him, but losing his pace and reverse swing has been a major loss to the team which hasn't been replaced.

The taller bowlers tend to do really well in the West Indies for some reason, so Harmison would be an automatic choice for me out there if he is match-ready which would probably mean that he would be match-ready for the home series.
