...gone 10:15am on 16 Oct 2009 What these self serving venal Mp's tend to forget when bleating about the retrospective nature of the Audit - and their subsequent 'calling to arms to challenge it in the courts', is that the chancellor did the very same thing to us in the 2008 budget.

We were imposed with a retrospective car tax. So it's OK to be applied to us mere low farm animals, but not them.

I've written to my MP to say please go ahead with challenging it in court, if you win you make a precedent...dont then be at all suprised if the general public take the government to court on the same principle...and WIN.

Some animals are more equal than others it seems..

Perhaps if the tone of the blog was balanced and unbiased concerning spending cuts, then you wouldn't have need to refer. Perhaps also if the need to refer to the shadow chancellors status is what determines his credibility wasn't made, then you also wouldn't have need to refer.

This is on topic, and for others wondering, I have made an official complaint to the BBC trust regarding the tone of this article in particular.
What would Tories cut? 07:18am on 01 Jul 2009 This is, without doubt, the most disgraceful article by the Political Editor of the purported unbiased BBC I have ever read.

There is absolutely no balance in this article, neither is there any balanced other blog. To suggest that Osborne's status makes him untrustworthy beggars belief - by that statement, it can only be assumed that Nick believes Brown and co to be totally trustworthy.

We have read many NuLab biased articles from Nick, but this really does take the biscuit - not that Nick takes any notice of comments to his blogs!!

There is no doubt in my mind that an official complaint to the BBC trust is in order here. If this was a blog for one of the tabloids, understandable - but this is supposed to be the BBC.

Nick, why don't you go and work with Maguire at the mirror as that seems more suited to your personal opinion.

Completely disgraceful. I really don't know what other comments yu expect to get because it is clear this blog entry does not stimulate debate - just ridicule.

I can't believe you are another one who believes in blame culture - ie not taking responsibility for one's own actions! How on earth has the Editor of the Telegraph damaged the reputation of the PM?...surely, the buffoon Brown has done that by himself!!!

Or are you sad you didn't get that job yourself? ;-)

This also shows a new tactic by the buffoon - rather than employ a stoogy like Toilets McGuire, he tries to buy influence. Wont work though!!

Three extraordinary personal decisions 11:05am on 05 Jun 2009 Sorry - but I find most of these ministers and mp's two faced and hypocritical and as such they ahve shown they are simply untrustworthy.

Purnell, for as much as I loathe him stood up to be counted, at the very least he has some principals - much like the late Robin Cook. Principals in MP's these last few years is sadly lacking and it is this reason politics are so bad.

No backbone in any of them, no morals, no principals and therefore simply do not represent the constituents who vote for them.

One big clear out is needed - starting with a General Election...NOW!

Or the Gov of BofE...or any leading economist...or Vince Cable....even Joanna Lumley gave him a taste of his own hypocritical medicene when asked where should Gordon find the money...

Are you one of the believers that the mess we are in has NOTHING whatsoever to do with Brown...at all???

Taking the political mood 8:31pm on 29 Apr 2009 He's being badly advised - just who is running this country? Advisors or the PM. Why on earth should 'the man who purports to save the world' need advice on this issue.

GB is a walking talking....scrub that, GB is a mumbling bumbling liability of the highest order. It is not a question of bad advice...it is another admission, if another was required (take not accepting comments to number 10 tv), that he simply does not listen to anyone except the voices in his head.

I have raised a petition (waiting for it to be accepted) for him to ask the Queen to dissolve parliament this summer before he resigns so we can have our say.

WHat was his riposte on being defeated on this issue - oh yes, it's not binding - I expect there will be a few Nokia's and printers smashed this evening....no doubt paid for by us!!!

As for Golem, there is a certain sense of justice for us all, when things go wrong here, he runs away - but each time he runs now, he gets his behind kicked from those he's run to.

He really is a liability. thankfully if he does go and we get harpie, she will inflict as much pain as golem and we can have the satisfaction of kciking zanulab into 3rd or even fourth place come the GE...if we are ever allowed one!!
