They've had more draws than a lingerie salesman and you can't help thinking that 200 million quid ought to buy a bit more than a bunch of cagey cash-rich counter-attackers.

Spurs have the worst performance record against the other "Top 7" clubs of those 7 teams. And that will probably be their downfall in their bid against Villa and City to get that "Top 4" place vacated by Liverpool because how well a team does in the "mini-leaque" against its closest PL championship contenders is usually indicative of how well it does overall in the PL.

Correction - The top four side get debatable penalties awarded by Webb, Spurs then capitulate and heads drop...'Arry is working on this part.

Lets be fair Man United won the league last season and still lost twice to Liverpool..
Brazil refine tactics for World Cup 10:15am on 16 Nov 2009 If England play with either Walcott, Lennon, Wright Phillips or Young i can see long spells trying to regain possesion as none of them players mentioned can pass the ball consistently well.

Don't agree...Lennon and Walcott on their day are both supremely quick and can pick out great passes. Lennon has especially improved in the last 6-8 months, people forget he is only 21.

A fit Walcott would be an immense addition to the squad for South Africa as he can play as striker or right wing.
England cannot replace Rooney 10:01am on 14 Oct 2009 Completely agree that Rooney is a fine player and still so young. To everyone who doesn't rate him.....well....just glad you don't work in football! The kid is still only 23 (8 months behind Ronaldo in age and experience) and plays like he does at this age...what will he be like when he is 26+?? I'd imagine most of the people having a pop at Rooney are Liverpool fans and sore headed Evertonians...

I agree its harsh to other players to say we depend on him but lets be honest he fairly paramount to England's hopes come June 2010 South Africa.
