He failed to lead 1:56pm on 19 May 2009 Sorry, Nick. It's got nothing to do with class or nationality. I write as someone born and bred in Glasgow, and to be honest, I find Martin's shambolic performance to be embarrassing.

To Glasgow, to Scotland, to Parliament, and to the country. He is simply "not fit for purpose", and he had to go.

Brown and his team have been saying all day long that we need the public to have confidence in "the system". In reality, it's not the system that's at fault - it's the shysters who have been manipulating the system who are the problem.

No matter what new "system" is put in place, how are we going to have confidence in this lot ever again?

Two expensive televisions in one year for Hazel Blears, both paid for by us?

2008: The Brown rollercoaster 8:48pm on 19 Dec 2008 Brown can smile all he wants, but the reality is that whenever he calls the election, he'll be out on his ear. Sadly, he'll be leaving a bankrupt economy.

For all our sake's, let him go, the sooner the better!
