Sugababe-y Love: A Tribute 5:15pm on 25 Sep 2009 Maybe Siobhan, Keisha and Mutya could get together and reform the band! Admittedly they couldn't be called the Sugababes any more because Amelle, Jade and Heidi are using that name now, but maybe they could be called something similar - like, something that's connected to sugar in a popular children's rhyme, and something that indicates that they are a trio of females. I've got it! They could be the Spice Gir----wait, hang on a minute...
Mika - 'We Are Golden' 7:13pm on 03 Sep 2009 The Other Half and I spent about a week trying to figure out which song this was ripping off the melody of. Eventually he remembered: Jason Donovan's 'Too Many Broken Hearts'.

I think this song is absolute tosh, by the way. Not as offensively bad as 'Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)', but then what is?

Florence was performing at Eden, Fraser asked her about Eden. Florence started talking about how things she has done lately have had religious influences, Fraser expanded on that with her - as far as I can see, the direction of this interview was as much her decision as it was Fraser's. I mean, you can ask her how it feels to have a hit album or to talk endlessly about the deeper meanings of her work at any time, but this interview was tied to a specific, rare moment. I know which one I'd rather read.

Take That - 'Said It All' 12:48pm on 18 Jun 2009 In the spirit of the continuing ChartBlog Take That amnesty, I was a HUGE Take That fan when I was at school, and then they broke up and I moved on, and then a couple of years later I was at university and someone put their Greatest Hits on, and after about four or five tracks I thought "what a load of old rot - I can't believe I used to listen to this".

I'll be standing over by the wall now - feel free to commence throwing stones at your leisure.

Sophie Ellis Bextor - Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) 12:43pm on 18 Jun 2009 ooaqici82qb4ip - I would dispute the lack of charisma, since I've always considered it more of a deliberate performance choice to be aloof, in the same way that Lady Gaga pretends to be an airhead with no dress sense but (probably) isn't. But I do see your point, I think it's the sort of thing that people either love or hate, with no real middle ground.

Bloofs - I had tickets for the last tour, and I was so disappointed when she cancelled. I've got my fingers crossed for third time lucky...
Katy Perry - 'Waking Up In Vegas' 11:20am on 16 Jun 2009 If you ask me (and I'm aware that no one did) Katy Perry herself qualifies as a Very Horrible Noise In Popular Music. Even when she isn't singing.

But 'Hot 'n' Cold' really is ace, though.
