Speaker's anger 11:59pm on 11 May 2009 Martin has been a shinning example of the shame of Labour, this is the guy who allowed an MP to be investigated for political motives, who has abused the expenses system himself and has been an incompotent who survives because of his Labour bias.

Lloyds to convert? 4:06pm on 26 Jan 2009 Investors, many American our trying to use the media to trade of the volatility they are injecting into the Barcalsys share price. The FSA should show better stewardship so that one of the best capitalised banks in the world being sabotaged by these so called investors. I would not be surprised if Barcap ends the year in the £3-4 range!
China's moment 11:46am on 26 Jan 2009 China's fiscal model was to keep their currency much much weaker than the dollar artificially. Now it's paying the price for not allowing market forces to dictate the real price of it's currency.
The long and short of banks 09:50am on 23 Jan 2009 Short selling in a "normal market" is fine, short selling in a rumour driven market is not. The FSA have showed clearly just how incompetent they really are. Just having the ability to short sell is enough to spook investors in this market. Well done the UK for shooting itself in the foot again.

Faith in banks 2:51pm on 20 Jan 2009 Why does Peston not report the fact that GB ran a department which was meant to review banks, banks like RBS, how they were run etc during the time he was taking credit for their success? I have been in risk enough to know old GB is trying to put the blame on the banks in isolation. Greedy banks were allowed to get away with this by greedy career driven treasury officials. Case in point, where are all the arrests?

Covering Gaza 3:00pm on 15 Jan 2009 Personally I think media in war situations do more harm than good. I believe media is now a war instrument as much as bombs and bullets, and that modern terrorism is a product of this. The terrorists have their own propaganda wings, probably even their own media contacts such is the interest in tv terrrorism. There is not truth in war, only bloodshed and misery, no right and wrong, so why report it? Why, to inflame more muslims, to upset more Jews, to show the west how not to live.

I am actually supportive of less press access than more to Gaza!
