For Labour to say that government spending will continue to expand is either dishonest or shear lunacy.

In either case the perpetator should be locked up.

How can Scotland take on Pension administration, when, for so long, we have all been paying into a UK communal pot.

Sanctions of a sort have been agreed. Anything stronger will never happen, and military action against ANY nation is no more than science fiction.

Undoubtedly communist North Korea is bound to have tie-ups with other communist nations, and there are some mighty and muscular nations on that list.

North Korea will not be acting alone. This is choreographed and concerted military show casing.

I know that this bucks EU legislation, but look what happened at Holyrood - a monstrosity of a building, with no times scale, no cost control, designed by a money-no-object Spanish company with little thought to long-term maintenance.

Very good submissions were submitted by Scottish and British architects, one of which should have been adopted.

Part of our nationality is defined by our architecture, so buildings like the seat of our national parliament and this proposed extension to the Glasgow School of Art should showcase our artistic skills.

By all means consider proposals from other country's firms, but be sure to pick the worthy winner from our own shores.

Of course the EU may well question the ultimate choice, but let's just sit back and let them prove their case.

Properly taught it develops your lungs, your diaphragm, your muscle tone and your posture - all good influences on your long term health.

Unless you are tone deaf, the voice is the most natural and least expensive way to make music. You develop musical harmony and rythmic sense, and start to enjoy the sounds you make in conjunction with others in a choir.

Once you get your nose out of the music sheet and follow the conductor's lead for tempo, expression, volume and sentiment you find yourself participating in a beautiful harmonic creation.

Yep ! Singing is good for you.

The problem is a dearth of good conductors, who will spend time with a choir individually and collectively.

The present post-holder lost his own public integrity some time back over his own and his wife's expenses.

He has also been consistently "agin" any benefit reforms during his tenure of office, and also very "anti" concerning the publication of MP's expenses.

Either of these factors would be enough to class him as unsuitable to oversee any change in the expenses system.

I hope, that unlike many now discredited financiers, he is NOT promoted to the House of Lords, when he retires as a wealthy MP.

If he does, he will experience as much flak "at home" as Mr Netanyahu will in Israel, if Obama pushes too hard for a two-state solution.

Whereas we may give Parliament a 4.5 out of 10 for trust, MP's as a generic bunch, would be lucky to score 3.

Trust can only be re-established if parliamentarians from both Houses are bound by tighter rules coupled with transparency of their expenditure.

The regulating body to oversee expenses should also be independent of Parliament and the usual civil service restraints.

However expenses are a mere tip of the iceberg. Stopping unjustified expenses will be like blocking one entrance into a bunnies' warren of corruption.

The old boy (girl) network will continue to flourish in more subtle ways on a "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Such transactions will be nigh impossible to police, so the fat cat MP's will still continue to flourish.
