COP15: Titanic nears the harbour 11:41pm on 16 Dec 2009 The world is run by big business, government is dictated to by the big players, the ones who fund their party. We have all seen the conciquences of allowing big financial institutions the opportunity to ruin the world economy for heir own gain. What we are seeing with this , and many other climate negosiations, is the same thing. Governments, politcians, third world countries lining their own pockets at the expence of the poor, and at the expence of the world. I see little hope of the current political elite doing anything to halt the coming catastrophy, other than them insulating themselves from it with paper money!. Yes one can buy security from danger with money, however can you buy true freedom for you and your family if the rest of the world is DEAD?.
Why £73bn is the new £90bn 11:11pm on 11 Dec 2009 It is very simple economics, if you borrow more than you can afford to pay back, you either have to borrow more, a cycle of increasing debt, or you go bankrupt. The result of either option is bankruptcy of a greater or lesser degree at some point in the future. Our great financiers and MPs still appear to be living in the fantasy world of money for nothing. You have to have an income equal to your outgoings to break even. If you are relying on credit to finance your life you are in trouble. At some point the creditors may request repayment, WHO THE HELL DO WE OWE £850 BILLION POUNDS TOO?. Who has that much money to lend?. The real question is who leant all this money?, where has it all gone?, did it exist in the first place?.
Banks face windfall tax 9:59pm on 06 Dec 2009 The banks should be forced to pay back their debt to the tax payer before rewarding their greedy selves for doing nothing other than relying on the tax payer to bail them out of a disaster engineered by their own greed. As said by so many about so few, they are just reinflating the balloon and lining their own pockets at the expence of us. The genious bankers are back, did they ever go away ?, unfortunatly no, we are still at the mercy of the spiv banksters, god help us all.
RBS board to quit if chancellor vetoes £1.5bn in bonuses 9:15pm on 02 Dec 2009 1. I am quite sure there are plenty of capable, competent people queing up for the jobs of those who prepose to quit if they do not get their bonuses at RBS.
2. Perhaps RBS directors and top earners should practice what they preach to their customers and debtors, those that owe them money. You must honour your debts before you should think of rewarding yourself.
3. Investiment banking, commercial banking, or personal banking are all mixed together and inseperable, they need to be broken up we are told, so there is no £6 billion profit is there. RBS is up to its eye balls in debt, and should, as previously stated, service that debt. So we have seperation when it comes to paying bonuses, yet complete amalgimation when it comes to bail out time.

We are still being held to ransom by the banks, time to call their bluff, most would be happy to have the sallary of an MP, let alone a banker. Concidering what has gone before, are these people truly worth £1.5 billion pounds ?.
Spotting a red flag 11:06pm on 10 Nov 2009 What ever this persons race, crede, religion, or motivation was will not justify murdering and injuring so many people. It will not change any precieved injustice to others who have suffered the same actions by others, it will just reinforce the cycle of violence that appears to be endemic around the world. If you are violent towards me, I will be more violent towards you, and so it goes on. We do not know the reason why this person chose to do what he did, so let us wait and hope to find out. All I know is that increasing acts of violence solves nothing.
Why don't the Conservatives spell out their plans? 10:12pm on 08 Sep 2009 They will not tell us how we are going to pay for the mess they have created, because if they did that we would not vote for them. I remember the Thatcher years, this is no different. Do you think New labour was any different from old labour, or New tory any different from old Tory. God help us all if either party get in at the next election, how I wish for true change. Depending on which party gets in at the next election will determine which section of society will pay for the mess.

It says it all when a tory front bencher gets demoted for moaning about his loss of fringe benifits, think it but do not voice it, until we are in power that is. As the old saying goes `Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks`
What RBS's results say about QE 11:52pm on 07 Aug 2009 MY GOD THEY ONLY MADE A 15 NILLION POUNDS IN PROFFIT.What a poor position to be in. What about the poor businesses that rely on these banks for trading, if you run your business on the whim of the banks, you are buggered
BT: A blacker pension hole 11:20pm on 30 Jul 2009 another ruse or ponzi scheme, someone has run of with the money. Get the message people, pay your hard earned money into this scheme, invest your hard earned money into this scam, simple fact is you have been had, the ironic thing is that the politicians and regulators did not see it coming or allowed it to happen in the first place, so much for them. Better of hiding it under the matress like our grandparents did, they at least had the knowledge that trusting your betters was not a good idea, money under the matress was safer as the spivs who proclaim to be changed are still banksters at the end of the world economy as we know it.
Business still being crunched by banks 11:29pm on 25 Jul 2009 Why oh why are we still listening to the very people that caused all this credit crunch in the first place. Same sh*t different people or same people different sh*t, unless you change the mind set of the people who are causing all the problems, or get rid of them for good you will be in the mire for a long time. There are NO new ideas, those responsible are still basically in charge and would not see a good idea if it bit them in the throat. Its all about profit and screwing everyone for as much as they can. For all the media hype and obvious global recesion we are in, the very same people that took us to the brink are still in the driving seat, GOD help us all. Wake up people, time for change.
Tory plan to sanitise banks 11:13pm on 19 Jul 2009 Hogg Wash, both parties are in the pocket of big money, and niether are doing anything to truly change what is a big rip off of both customers and tax payers. Three years after the OFT report on unfair charges to customers, other than the credit cards, most other financial institutions are still ripping off their customers with unfair and disproportionate charges. There is no change, both the tories and labour
have done little or nothing to curb the greed of their paymasters. Who runs this country, the people who donate the most money to the political elite, the money club. The idle rich do not donate large amounts of money to either party from the goodness of their heart, it is for leverage, heard that term before, no doubt will hear it again, leverage in the money markets is god, leverage in the political market is also god. If you believe their spin you will believe any thing.

They send our troops out to fight ill-equiped yet find trillions to bail out our wonderful bankers. Our big fat overpaid under performing unqualified bankers, a few W`s missing here, get trillions, our troops get rubbish equipment or not enough. I know where I would prefer to spend my money. The money is being robbed from us, Robin Hood in reverse, rob the less fortunate to pay the fortunate or rich. A poor world we live in.
