Come in number one 10:32am on 13 Feb 2009 If Chris Kirkland wasnt so injury prone he would be Englands number 1 by now. I believe, in my humble opinion of course, that Mr Kirkland is the best keeper we have at the this moment in time.

If Joe Hart moves to another club in the summer – permanent or loan – then he can stake a pretty strong claim for the number one spot.

The goal keeping position is there for the taking. One thing is for certain though, David James is not good enough and neither is Paul Robinson if you ask me.
Meeting the men in charge 10:08am on 12 Feb 2009 Im surprised you did not mention Jose Mourinho. Surely he is one of the most interesting characters to interview. I agree with Neil Warnock as well. But Neil is a sore loser though.

Pearson is an interesting choice. He quite clearly doesnt like the media exposure and doing interviews. He is one of the most boring men in the game. He is emotionless, win, lose or draw you will see the same expression on his face. I, and many other Leicester fans, dont care one bit though. We are top of the league and he is doing an immense job.

Staying level headed is so important 09:42am on 29 Jan 2009 #10 - I agree. A good example I can think of is Gary Johnson and Lee Johnson at Bristol City. Many Bristol City fans have expressed their anger and frustration towards Lee Johnson due to his rather diabolical performances, and the fact that Daddy keeps selecting him in front of other capable players.

This sort of thing has made me think if it would be in the interest of all parties concerned (Gary, Lee and the Bristol fans) if Lee departed from the club because I know for a fact I would not like to play under my dad due to fans thinking I'm only in the team due to dad and thus I get even more crucified left right and centre more than I would normally do.
Lend him like Beckham 12:47pm on 22 Jan 2009 We had Lee Hendrie on loan from Sheffield United last season. At first glance and going by his reputation, we dreaded the sight of him wandering around the pitch like a prima donna and doing the square root of nothing. But he proved us wrong and played really well but couldn’t help us avoid relegation.

Jack Hobbs and David Martin both from Liverpool, Kerrea Gilbert from Arsenal, Tom Cleverley from Manchester United. Apart from the latter who has just arrived, the other 3 have done really well here despite my scepticism towards loan player from Premiership clubs. Because I think generally they have this “ I am better than this “ attitude i.e. Ryan Smith and Lee Martin.
Boro on the brink 11:59am on 19 Jan 2009 I quite like the Boro. I’ve always had creepy fascination about them. My missus thinks I’ve lost the plot, asking why would a Leicester fan living in Manchester have any affiliation to Middlesbrough? Well, the answer is quite clear. Boro is lead by a good honest Chairman who is a fan of the club, which then makes me a fan of Gibson. Boro believe in having a great youth academy and if I remember correctly there was a Premiership game not long ago where Boro lined up with 11, or 10, academy graduates. Now, if that isnt enough reason to respect and like them, I dont know what is.

Along with West Brom, I wish Boro all the best and it would be tragic if they went down.
No carping about Kaka coup 1:14pm on 16 Jan 2009 Its not so much the 100 million quid thats the issue here. Its 2 things.

1. The fact that his salary will be an outragous 500k a week.

2. The Man City acadamy will go straight out of the window. Kids such as Daniel Sturridge who has a great future ahead of him will never ever make it at Man City cos of the money they will splash out on expensive lavish strikers.

I dont blame Kaka on bit. In fact, Im on 2k a month salary at my current job, and if someone offered me another job with a salary of 10k a month, then I would jump at it without a doubt. I know footballers and the average Joe cannot be compared but even as a footballer I would have signed for Man City if they truly offered me 500k a week.
From joy to despair 1:05pm on 16 Jan 2009 I remember about 10 years ago when Bury were playing Middlesborough a player called Beck scored for Boro and jumped onto the grating that used to be in front of the away fans. One of the fans got a bit over excited and yanked his crown jewels, resulting in him dropping to the floor and having to be substitued soon after

I remember that. His name was Mikel Beck and was a Dane. I remember him playing for Derby as well. Awful player it must be said.

As for celebration, many moons ago playing a friendly match I scored a last minute goal to make it 3-2 to us and went on to make a summersault celebration, only for me to twist my ankle and mess up my ligaments. I was sidelined for about 8 weeks. What a genius I am sometimes eh!!

If I was JFK I would ban him for five games and fine him 3 weeks wages and also warn him about his future conducts.
Star guests witness Chelsea struggle 12:21pm on 13 Jan 2009 I really dont think Oneill would be the standard Man U would be looking for once Ferguson retires. Im a Leicester fan myself, and I love the bloke, but lets be realistic for a bit. I dont think Martin can make that massive step up
