Last Gadget Standing 6:13pm on 12 Jan 2009 I know you think the MSI Wind Netbook is a dull device, but as a long-time Mac user, it's pretty cool to be able to install Mac OS X on such a tiny laptop, especially for those of us who do not want to pay the huge price tag for a MacBook Air. Looking back - tech in 2008 01:32am on 26 Dec 2008 During 2008, there was a lot of good software released for the Mac. With Apple's marketshare steadily increasing and the iPhone released, it seems like there are many new developers on the platform. There's a good compilation of some of the best freeware and shareware from this year at Mac Guru Lounge.
Mac malware - were we wrong? 11:32am on 03 Dec 2008 I'm really surprised that the vast majority of people have never run anti-virus software. I always assume people have the software and just run it every once in a while. I use ClamXAV when I want to scan a file I've downloaded or received via email, but I don't have it set up to continually scan. I read a post today at Mac Guru Lounge on the Top 5 Mac Security Tips for the Holidays, which also talked about running AV software.
