Cech gives Chelsea final hope 10:01am on 29 Apr 2009 majority of the chelsea players won the physical battle against the Barcelona players, Malouda was constantly in duel with Alves and he succeeded in furstraiting Alves to an extend and alves failed to deliver any single good cross from the right side because he was always under the preasure from malouda, I think malouda was exceelent y'day and Chelsea should consider about his future.
Having said that i should admit that during the game i felt like i was watching a PL game involving stoke/Blackburn/Bolton against a superior Side b'cos the physical battle was intense and the game was too boring.End of the day result matters, as a neutral fan i wish to see Barcelona /M.U final
Cech gives Chelsea final hope 08:52am on 29 Apr 2009 its ridiculous that some poeple consider the chelsea-Barca game as anti football/non football, what does people expect?? issit required that all the teams should play open football and allow Barcelona to play thier natural football with out man marking and defending? it is up to barcelona to break the stiff defence and score goals they cannot expect the opposition to reward them with easy goals,every one shoud do thier job,they should prove that they are not flat track bullies!the current bayern munich team cannot be considered as World class since they are playing for thier life in Bundesliga's CL spot and they r loosing at home against inferior teams ! I think if Barcelona plays like y'day they would suffer to score even against the mid table teams in PL.
its unfair to blame chelsea for thier defensive game plan, the whole world would be singing for them if it was Liverpool. People have the habit of hating chelsea from the days of jose mourinho.

people like CypriotJohn are posting immaterial comments and others are eagerly replying for all his comments,no disrespect to Mr john but i would suggest it will be more interesting if we all try to stick to the main topic instead of posting messages about the stadium,stewards and Pub( i admit its a part of football culture but we are talking about the perfomance on the pitch not about the stadiums and stewards, they cannot keep the club in the PL).
its natural that u feel bitter about that incident but i feel its time to move on and focus on football other then cribbing about same thing over and over again. there will be social difference everywhere in this world and there will be rich and poor till the end of this world. Hull cannot become another Liverpool with thier limited resources and they cannot built state of the art stadium like liverpool and i feel that u were arrogant by calling them second rate. Its a common practice that the away fans in home area should not indulge in any activity that may provoke the home fans and i believe its been followed for the safety of both parties.
am not a Hull fan and i wont be crying if they go down and i dont like Phil brown and his arrogance towards the players, he think he is the only reason for taking them to the PL.
I have noticed that most of the fans are accusing Stoke for being boring and negative, I believe every managers has thier style and we should respect that , Tony Pulis deserve appreciation for his achievment with the limited resources.If every one starts playing like M.U / Arsenal/ or Barcelona and there wont be any thing left which makes these Teams 'Special'. i wonder If SAF or Wenger would prefer thier natural style if they were given the Stoke squad or Blackburn squad , am sure they would prefer safety over entertainment !
Shearer gets taste of reality 10:06am on 05 Apr 2009 every one says he does not have previous expereince! every managers started from the scratch! all those experienced managers were rookie once and they gained expereince day after day! so i think shearer would become a good manager in future and he will serve New castle for a long time to come !atleast he showed some guts to take the challenge and trying to do some thing to avoid the drop .
Roy Keane Took a club like sunderland from the bottom of the championship table to the premier leage with no previous expereince. he was forced to leave by the players who were not interested to play for the manager b'cos he went too tough on them !! they need flashy cars and jewelleries with out working hard for thier salaries.
in newcastles case its not easy to change the players looser mentality with in 2 days !! they are comfortable with loosing and they are not ashamed of loosing they just wanted to pick up thier heavy salaries.
in my opinion their failure started the day they sacked Big sam and replaced him with Keegan ! am sure they wouldn't be fighting for survival if he is still in charge at newcastle, now he is doing magic for blackburn , newcastle supporters played a big part for his departure and am sure Big sam have some thing to prove to newcastle management and supporters ! i really wanted him to succeed at Blackburn.
Man Utd look unstoppable 12:19pm on 05 Mar 2009 its verry sad to admit the blogs and the medias cant see the BPL beyond the top 4 these days !its same thing over and over again .. its about how M.U is going to win the leage and how arsenal could grab that final CL spot!!i think by now most of us know M.U would definitely win the league and i think most of the fans who support other team could get bored of reading the same thing over and over again!i have found the mini league that have formed at the bottom of the table more interesting then reading about these Top 4! b'cos there's more movement in the table then top 4!! but the pundits are not really interested to look at them and analyse the up coming matches and current situations of those teams and give their opinion about how they are going to survice and avoid the drop instead of repeating the same old story of how M.U is going to win again and how CR7 is going to change his hairstyle next time!
i think it would be refreshing to read about those bottom clubs ( other then westbrom) who are trying hard to survive and grinding out results to move up and avoid relgation!
note:- am not against M.U i do watch every M.U game but its reaching to a point of overdose and repetition ! may be these bloggers think those articles would attract less readers and comments !!
Scolari fails to step out of Jose's shadow 1:19pm on 10 Feb 2009 All the people who still belive Jose should return are living in a fantasy world, and they r Making chelsea worst then Newcastle every one remember how the fans forced the owner to bring back thier Favourite messiah Keegan and how the appointment backfired ! they became a loughing stock and chelsea is heading towards that direction.
Mourinho is not a fool who thinks he can come back and change the fortunes of Chelsea, he had a good squad and unlimited funds when he arrived but things have changed when Kenyon started calling the shots on football matters, he convinced Roman to follow Real Madrid style and buy superstars to promote chelsea brand like M.U but Mourinho never agreed with his ideas and mourinho was against buying some players when kenyon agreed the deal by paying more then the market price for some players and Mourinho was in war with Frank enerstern ( latest developements shows mourinho was right to question his intentions)
Chelsea can return to thier glory days only after they sack that bald headed Kenyon, or else every thing would end up in failure.
M.U improved remarkably after kenyons departure and chelsea is sliding down under his influence. i think he is very good at convincing his Boss to do things according to his plans other then the Manager's Plan !
How can they publish Photos of new jersy with Robinho's name even with out singing him?? only Kenyon could do that ..that says every thing about chelsea's Current situation.. MISMANAGEMENT !!
Some one wrote about the consipiracy theory about the current situation related to Pompey and chelsea.. Scolari to step in man city and Hugh to pompey and Rijkard to chelsea !!! quite interesting right???? i think the media is playing big part in spreading gossips and rumours !
Bottom line.. Mourinho is not coming back to Chelsea ,i think he is trying to re-build his reputation with Intermilan with out Big Funds and waiting for SAF to retire.
Scolari fails to step out of Jose's shadow 08:34am on 10 Feb 2009 I think he's a good manager but not Qualified to manage a Top european Club like chelsea. May be his tactics were not inspiring and chelsea lost thier winning mentality, BUT he is not the one who is playing and he cannot go to the pitch and perform i think his players let him down, Chelsea need to offload all the players who past thier sell by date.
Its sad to see managers getting the boot for poor results mainly b'cos the underperfoming players. Tony Adams got the sack when they lost against Liverpool infact they were leading and almost going to win the match! and comes Crouch's back pass and sylvian distins air Kick !! does any one among us thinks Tony adams is responsible for these errors from his players which lead them to loose that match?
most of the senior players at chelsea is not playing to thier strength for some mysterious reasons may be they wanted to see the back of Scolari infact they were not happy when Avram grant took over from Mourinho and now Scolari is facing the same problems, is it just me who thinks mourinho still has some bad influence in chelsea dressing room?? is he creating divisions among the players to teach a lesson to his old Master??? recently scolari was sooo irrittated and he said '' If some one need any of my players let them come forward and place a bid and take them after paying or if the player wants to leave they can leave if any one is ready to pay the money .. Please dont create problem for me or Chelsea'' was he suggesting mourinho's influnce on Drogba/Carvalho/Essein/Lampard to name few??
Mourinho critized chelsea after watching M.U match and i think that influnced some of the players already tainted confidence !
I like mourinho and i've started watching Serie A this season only B'cos of him but i think he should not go back to chelsea dressing room if he is not related to the club! he should concentrate on his current Job and wish his old club shoul do well even without him ...if he really loves chelsea as he always claims!!

Southgate is not a great coach ! i doubt he would become one after spending 3 years learning the trade! he hasn't improved much with all the support from the chairman! M Jol would have finished top 4 if he had a chairman like gibson at Totenham!!!! harry Big mouth redknap is still living in his past , he still thinks he's managing a small town club like portsmouth and southampton ! 12 mil for bellamy and 15 mil defoe?? wat is he drinking??chelsea got anelka for 12 Mil!!!
Sheikh ya money! 10:04am on 18 Jan 2009 the Blog is well balanced and insightful, in an ideal world the fans will be over excited about this deal ( in this case every one is sooo shocked to hear this news). i think its fair to pay 100 mil for 2 players ! if we consider the 42 mil paid for zidane by Real madrid and they where spending money like water !! no one complained b'cos real Madrid had history and they were BIG club...i dont think there's any thing wrong if some one decides how to spend his money! le this sheikh spends his /family's money as he likes ..No one is going to ask robbo or any other so called football pundits what they are doing with thier money or how they are spending it , am sure even robbo would consider another job offer if they offer him few more $$$ then his current salary!
and as for the 100 mil price , in common economic sense demand is the price at which consumer is ready to buy and the producer is ready to sell and in this case price decides the quantity of the sales, man city made an offer which forced Milan to consider the offer !! ( in normal case they would never listen to any offer for Kaka.)
This Bid could have some other hidden intention! no one in this world of football never heard about sheikh mansour and man city but this news put him and man city all over the world ! May be he wanted to invest 100 Mil as part of his advertisment for boosting his/clubs image all over the world.. and he got wat he was looking for.. PUBLICITY ! roman abrmovich became famous when he brought Chelski!no one heard about him before !!
i dont expect this deal to happen..its just a part of P.R stunt by Mancity and A.C milan
Star guests witness Chelsea struggle 1:02pm on 13 Jan 2009 most of the people who are critizing Mourinho for negative/boring football are forgetting the fact that he preferred 4-3-3 formation during his initial 2 years in charge at chelsea and he won the league with that formation, but he was forced to change the system for his master who gave him expensive toys which he never liked! which is Shevchenko and Ballack, he changed his formation to 4-4-2 to accomodate both in his team and he eventually settled for that format when robben was out injured most of the time and joe cole's form dissapeared, in addition his new recruitments salomon kalou and malouda failed to impress and he was soo obsessed with success that he never took chance in changing his formation again.

Rafa Benitez at liverpool plays almost same kind of football.. more tactical and less adventerous ... in short negative football.. but no one is mentioning any thing about his brand of football.. its always about Mourinho and his football !

when he went to Inter first thing he did was sign queresma and maicon and he started the season with 4-3-3 but both of them failed and he changed it to more defensive formation again,he tried various formations with his current team ,and its his best quality that he knows the substitutions very well and he knows the correct time to introduce his players, during the last game against caliagari when his team were chasing a goal down he introduced herman crespo ( the player he often overlooked) and it was crespo's pass which helped ibrahimovich to score and helped them to get away with a point....and he often get it right with his substitutions .. may be fluke but its a fact!

as for scolari it seems like he does not have a plan B or he dont like to change the formation and game plans during the matches and he is giving more spaces for his opponents when his full backs going forward for counter attacks! i think scolari cannot manage a massive club like chelsea and the fact that he won world cups with barzil when the managers where not armed with such sophisticated tactics and technics like in european Club football !! HIS GAME PLAN IS ONE DIMENSIONAL! it wont take them any where..
