If not out of common decency, or responding to your readerships wishes, or because you know its the right thing to do, then how about because our license fee funds your wages?

Sorry to be crude buts its late. If your supervisor/manager etc. insists you stick to some ridiculous protocol, pity that poor misguided person -and do it anyway, with a little chuckle and a nice warm feeling inside

100 days: rage builds quietly from two directions 11:34pm on 29 Apr 2009 Im often very critical of parts of the BBC - for damn good reason. i pay my license fee and dont like funding an organisation that would rather cosy up to the powers that be than challenge and question them.

Having said that, just watched the newsnight special tonight and it was excellent, really great TV - not perfect, but not far off. A stellar effort and a sincere thank you to all concerned

I think a large part of the problem with the media today is the level of subservience they show to the government of the day and politicians in general.

The former chief economist to the IMF, Simon Johnson, is stating that our problems are a direct result of the immoral stitching up of our economies by the financial and politicial elite. Basically the bankers own the politicians. Look at what the politicians have done over the past ten/twenty years, and its obvious that statement is true. Simon Johnson likened us to a banana republic, or a thoroughly corrupt developing nation.

The current head of the IMF is hinting at the same thing without being too direct.

The mainstream media, and I put the BBC very much at the heart of that, are too scared to call it - but maybe thats understandable, who is brave enough to risk their job in todays climate?

But i think its time to keep the faith. After all, the information is out there, and many people are talking about it. Hopefully, new people are waking up to the truth every day - there is much evidence of this online.

Maintenance of the status quo is becoming almost too much for our economies to bear. Holding back the destructive economic forces - that true capitalists believe in - cannot last forever. Viva la revolution!!

When the former chier economist to the IMF, Simon Johnson, releases an article in a quality publication, The Atlantic, describing exactly how our current economic woes are directly related to the grip that our very own oligarchs have on the US and UK economies and particularly the politicians that nominally represent we, the people, why does the BBC Economics team not find that fit for comment?

Amazing. Chief Economist at IMF uncovers the reasons behind the credit crunch and the related distortions in our democratic system, and plots pathway to recovery - break the oligarchies power. Yet the BBC does not find that worthy of comment.

Look beyond your current political masters, and remember its us - the license payers - and yourselves for that matter, i assume you have a TV, who are your paymasters. We deserve to know the truth. Give people a chance. Get truth out
