English elite face Euro test 00:19am on 11 Dec 2008 I kinda agree and disagree with you Phil, on home turf in Europe, no one wants to face Arsenal at the Emirates and with a few strong squad members to get back into the team, when we are settled, we can be very dangerous.

It's true that the other 3 english teams and Barcelona are currently in better positions, but I wouldn't write off Arsenal, just look at the Milan results last year.

As for my dream draw, I would love to see Arsenal vs Barcelona with the return of Thierry Henry. Man U vs Real Madrid, Chelsea vs Juventus with Claudio Ranieri back on english soil and Liverpool take on the special one's Inter Milan.

I wonder what the mathematical odds of this are and whether the bookies would put these at 1000 to 1. Worth a tenner at that price surely.

Energy companies reveal all 11:58am on 25 Nov 2008 I'm afraid that the effects of rise prices in the commodities are felt instantaneously and passed on to the customers just like petrol prices. The drop in prices does not normally come into effect for the customer either at all if a small reduction or if a large reduction could well be several (3) months afterwards and that will even be heldback if there are prices rises as a general trend.

It's how these companies operate and how capitalism works. Of course people have a choice of switching, but switching though is very easy, is a hassle or inconvenient so without this collective bargaining power from consumers the big 6 will always have a oligopoly and strangle hold over us because the demand is always there.
Text parking on trial 11:46am on 25 Nov 2008 I would like to say that the system is flawed and there are inevitably human errors. Generally speaking London Borough of Westminster take a much tougher and rigid stance on parking offences. This stance in totally inflexible.

The training provided in house is that to never admit any wrongdoing and for the victim/offender to prove their innocence. There is no conscience in the councils and no concept of common sense.

It's not that victims cannot accept human or system errors, its the fact that the real victims are treated like criminals and at no point is an apology made or any other showing of goodwill.
Wenger wise to appoint Fabregas 9:19pm on 24 Nov 2008 I would like to think that abou diaby would be the ideal foil for cesc fabregas. He is very vieira-esque and has good long feet for retrieving unretrievable balls.

Question marks about how much he gives the ball away but that he can learn and develop. I think Mr Arsene Wenger wanted more beef up top that's why he's being used as an attacking option, but he initially bought him in for something like £5m to replace Vieira long term and that option should now be explored, because denilson, alex song, ramsey, wilshere just aren't up for the job.

Also desperately need Senderos back, I never really believed he was a bad player, only had problems against Drogba and also large slices of bad luck. Surely Senderos in no worse than any other of the poor performing centre backs that we have at the moment.
